When You Gaze Into The Abyss Novels & Stories

I keep running. I'm not giving up on trying to get closer, looking at me while I keep on trying to get closer, I can see myself getting further and further away. I'm so small in the distance now I can't see the snakes, but I can still see myself. It looks like I'm leaning down, like I'm trying to get closer to where the snakes should be. I saw the figure of myself stumbled back as if one of the snake's had stuck out at me. I squint, trying to see more but before I can, I'm free falling into the abyss. Nothing but darkness and empty space. Soundless, mindless space. What was happening.

"No! I didn't know… I really didn't know this would happen. Noah, I'm sorry…" He dropped to one knee and reached out to hug Noah. "I didn't know that this would hurt you…" However, Noah jerked his head away and avoided his touch. He clung tightly to my neck and said, "Mom, let's go… Let's leave now." He didn't spare Alexander another glance. Alexander's hand froze in midair. For the first time, I saw confusion, helplessness, overwhelming guilt, and a trace of pain in his expression. Nonetheless, Noah and I would never look back again. We would not throw away our last ounce of dignity for a sliver of pity disguised as guilt.

The abyss called to me, promising pleasure but hiding pain within its depths. I could feel Nina’s pull growing stronger, and as much as I wanted to resist, my heart yearned to dive deeper into her twisted love. And so, I stood there, bound by desire, caught in a web of darkness that threatened to consume us both. I could either fight against it, risking everything to escape, or embrace the seductive abyss and surrender to the madness that beckoned me ever closer. 6 ELIAS The air in the asylum felt thick with anticipation, heavy like the weight of a dark secret just waiting to be uncovered.

“And I don’t know if I want it gone.” Neither of them answers. The silence stretches long, heavy. I stare out at the abyss beyond the glass, but now—now I don’t feel quite so small staring into it. The abyss stares back, hungry, waiting. And for the first time, I think I might be hungry too.

As Alex stood on the balcony of the Presidential residence, gazing out at the vibrant city below, he felt a wave of reflection wash over him. The sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a warm glow over the landscape, and he took a moment to contemplate the legacy of change that had unfolded during his time in office. It was a journey defined by struggle, resilience, and ultimately, transformation.

He slowly raised his head, his gaze calm and unruffled, yet carrying a pressure that transcended the rules of the heavens, casting it directly toward Mystic Vale and the others at the corner of the platform. That gaze was neither furious nor ostentatious, yet it was like the heavens looking down upon ants, like an abyss gazing at dust. With a single sweep, it made every person behind Mystic Vale break out in chills.

The air around me shifted, growing heavier, and darker. A sudden force yanked me backward. My vision blurred as the world twisted around me, pulling me into the abyss. The last thing I heard was the Oracle's voice. "Be careful what you seek, child. The abyss does not give back without a cost." --- Darkness swallowed me whole. There was no air, no ground beneath my feet. My body felt weightless, drifting through a void that stretched infinitely in every direction. A chill crept into my bones, but I forced myself to push forward.

"My Lord, that cavern is a dead zone! The anti-magic pressure in the abyss is so dense that no northern wolf can manifest their beast, and no mage can channel the elements! It is a place of absolute dampening!" "Which makes it the only place where he is vulnerable," Gideon countered, turning back to face us. His golden eyes swept over Thane and Vane with absolute, unyielding authority. "I will descend into the abyss alone. I will sever the siphon anchors with my own blade." The room fell silent. My heart slammed against my ribs with violent, furious force. I stood up from my chair so fast the heavy velvet mantle nearly slipped from my shoulders. "No," I said, my voice cutting through the qui

“He’s mine. He always has been. I won’t lose him like I lost Saint. Not like this.” Tessa and Wolf exchanged a glance, reading the desperation in my eyes. Finally, Tessa stepped back. “Then don’t come back the same.” --- DESCENDING INTO THE ABYSS I jumped. The world dropped away beneath me. The darkness surged, swallowing sound and light, pressing against my chest like an ocean of shadows. Luca’s energy pulsed ahead of me, guiding me through the chaos, glowing blue against the abyss’s black maw. The walls shifted, twisting like the inside of a nightmare. Shadows coiled around me, trying to claw at my limbs, my thoughts, my soul. Every step I took felt like walking through fire.

But then I pushed my sight past the quartz and touched the spinning black water in the center. The shock was absolute. It was a void. There was no heat. There was no vibration. There was only a terrifying, infinite hunger. The abyssal spark wasn't pushing force outward like an explosion; it was pulling everything inward. It was a microscopic black hole of pure, localized hydrostatic gravity. I opened my eyes, ripping my deep sight away from the crystal, gasping for air as if I had just been dragged underwater. "Jace?" Elara sat forward, the blanket slipping from her shoulders. "What is it?"
