Is it another Dimension of Horrors? Or a Realm of Mystery that intersects ours on a regular basis? Or is it a Life Form of many Forms who is trapped in an In-Between State or was Banished from Our Realm because it didn't want to co-exist with new life and just wanted to eat and destroy and feed off of Fear?

The vision flickered slightly. The abyss noticed immediately. “YOU REJECT SURVIVAL.” Kael shook his head faintly. “No.” Another cough wracked through him. Blood stained his lips again. “We reject emptiness.” The void around them shifted. Restless now. Unstable. The abyss spoke again. “EMPTINESS PREVENTS SUFFERING.” Lira answered quietly this time. “It also prevents living.” The silence afterward felt different. Almost fragile. The abyss had existed for eternity consuming worlds, emotions, civilizations, yet now it struggled against something as simple as human connection.

Otherwise, there would not have been radio silence after three millennia regarding them. Alex asked her, “What exactly is the Abyss? Why did the Undying Clan want to attack that place?” The lady in red told him that the Abyss was in the depths of the cosmic sea of stars, a lair where stars were born. There were supreme existences over there, and the Undying Clan was the vanguard army sent by the Abyss. As for the rest, she could not understand them more thoroughly because she had never gone to the Abyss, and the group of people who had gone there never returned.

Three human mechs, with their backs to the massive black hull of The Sovereign, slowly broke free from the gravitational tether and launched into this cold, shattered stellar graveyard. Everything before them looked like the macabre ruins left behind after the fall of gods. Countless massive fragments of golden metal floated silently in the vacuum; some shards were larger than skyscrapers back on Earth. And weaving through this golden debris was a suffocating, dark violet mist—the physical manifestation of the "Abyss." It clung to the dead planet like a living, viscous spiderweb.
