She hadn't realized it was Thursday until she landed on channel 39, which corresponded to GHShow, and came across an episode of "The Key to the Heart." Parker tried to deceive herself, pretending not to be curious about what was happening on the show and who Nicholas would choose to eliminate that night. She briefly flipped through other channels but ended up returning to the fateful 39. This is really stressing me out, and I couldn't wait for it all to be over. The eldest among the elders took the books from me. Others gathered around him as they began glancing through the book. They checked from one book, and then they crossed check from the two other books to see if it would correspond. If I were to be a regular human, my heart would be beating terribly by this time. The title page and table of contents looks normal, but I keep flipping pages to get to chapter one. Two more pages and I’m staring at the first chapter, titled “Finding a Companion.” I almost missed the title completely because my eyes were drawn to the center of the page where there was a rectangular shaped wooden box. All the pages had been cut through the center to fit this box inside, and there was something carved into the box. It was an image of the compass rose and the words “You’re My True North.” I glance back up to the first sentence of the chapter and it reads, “When preparing for an adventure, the first, and possibly most important, decision is who you will choose as your comp
