He asked, surprised at her mood swing. She spit out the food in her mouth, then she dipped her finger in her throat and vomited the one she ate, and she dropped the fork, standing up. "Leave" she told him flatly "And why the hell would you say that to me after wasting the food I cooked with all my energy? I'm f**king fed up of your crazy mood swings!" He shouted.

I stormed off angrily. Bitch!

“Do they not understand who I am? I’ve buried worse than her.” His aide hesitated before speaking. “But sir, more are coming forward. The public—” Ethan turned, his eyes flashing like steel. “The public forgets. They always forget. All it takes is one scandal, one distraction, one shred of doubt, and their righteous anger burns out.” He leaned closer, his voice lowering to a hiss. “And I will give them that distraction. If Amara thinks she can build her army, she’ll learn what war really is.”

I snapped angrily as I thought that she might think I was an ignorant leader. "Really?" She snapped angrily as her voice snarled sarcastically. "Yes, in fact, I can give you three reasons why I shouldn't accept you right now." I stood up angrily, towering over her as she did the same, but her head only reached to my chin. She did her best to tower my height equally by toe-tipping. "Fine. Then give me those reasons." My eyes dilated as my face darkened in rage. Most wolves would back down but she was different. She stood her ground and stayed still, and it pissed me off because of how her scent was messing up with my mind.

He was angry. Shit!

The fire crackled in the hearth, casting flickering shadows on the walls. But even in the quiet solitude of my study, I couldn't escape the anger that simmered just beneath the surface. It was like a fire, burning hot and bright, threatening to consume me if I didn't find a way to quell it. I took a sip of the whiskey, feeling the liquid burn down my throat. It was a welcome distraction, a temporary respite from the turmoil within me. But as the warmth spread through my body, I knew that it wouldn't be enough. The anger was still there, coiled and ready to strike.

Her eyes fill with tears, and I took the phone off speaker. Silas takes it and steps out, giving us time alone. Angie looks at me, and I pull her to my lap.

CHASE I barged into the house, my anger raged in me, it boiled through my veins. I had clenched my fist so hard that it was aching, plus I had beaten the stupid and useless men from the warehouse. But it wasn't enough to reduce the anger I felt. “Get me Whiskey!” I yelled at the nearest maid, she jumped and bowed her head before she moved to the bar. My chest fell and rose, my shoes echoed in this silent house and I peeled off my jacket before I launched across the couch.

I’m still in my car. I’ve been in the fucking garage this whole time. Thirty minutes. An hour. Maybe two. I don’t even know anymore. I’ve smoked half a pack, finished the whiskey from my flask, and still I haven’t moved. Not one inch. Just here. Staring at the steering wheel like it’s supposed to explain what the hell’s happening to me. I’m angry. But why? Why the fuck am I angry?
