Vince frowned at her expressions as he slowly got up on his stomach and leaned on the headboard. Princess Ariya sat beside him and gave him a book about wolves and vampires. "Here!" she said as she reached the book to him. "Why are you giving me this?" he didn't like to get the book in her hand. He gave Princess Ariya a sharp stare instead. "So that you will understand their nature better!" she put the book on his lap then. "Why do I need to understand their nature? They are not real? They are just fiction stories being developed in our imaginations!" he angrily said as he lay down sideward facing back at her.

Was he really that out of shape or had he really just ran as fast as he could up here. Probably the latter. "Okay. Continue." I said nodding to Ivy. "You crazy ass, anoyying Alphas." I heard her say under her breath making me smirk. Usually Id kill someone for the disrespect but from her, I didn't care. After everything Ivy has done for Star a few words don't hurt me. "Star doesn't have the same wolf spirt as a normal wolf, I don't know how to explain.. but White wolfs have an extra unique glow about them like an Aura."

Mishka said. "Yellow," I told them. "Your turn." "Favourite Animal," I said, sitting up excitedly. "I like Capybaras" "Sharks," Nikoli said with a grin. "Ferrets." Mishka grins. I liked this game. We continued playing for the next hour, learning so much about each other, and I had never giggled so much in my life. I felt like I was home.

The sound of birds chirping awoke Aella. She kept her eyes shut, smiling as she listened to the sounds of the birds. The sunlight that slanted over her eyelids made her think of the sunshine in the forest. She imagined she was on the forest bed, far away from Logan and his pack. I'm finally free from him, she thought.

“You have something to tell me, Harlon?” “Nope. You’re in because you’re in. Not because of my daughter.” The cryptic message was easily understood. Dad wanted the bear shifters to join the war against the hunters, but they were hesitant. “It makes a difference.” “Why?” I asked. “Tips the scales. Whoever possesses the white wolf is fated to win.” Boomer looked at me skeptically. “You have ebony hair.” “Yes.” “The opposite of white. The color of our hair matches our fur.” I hadn’t thought about the correlation, but he was right. Even the grey wolves had similar colors in human hair.

Darius' POV The world was too quiet at this hour, and I'd thought it was worse when I'd gone out to seek the healer. Apparently, I was wrong. Even the birds had stopped chirping, and each time I blinked, it felt like the stars that once littered the sky, were slowly disappearing one after the other. The trees were still dangerously so, but I didn't let it bother me. I had something else that was doing a good job at keeping me occupied.

Ethan giggled, I had a weird feeling about this image, I couldn't see myself as the female bird, because it never looked like me. "It's not, this isn't me and you... First off I'm never described a bird and secondly if I was to be a bird I would be a dove and not some evil looking bird" I tried to convince him, knowing that they were deeper thoughts into this than what he was saying. "It seems awkward that your book thinks we're ugly" Ethan scoffs as he places the book in my hands. "I don't really know..." I was shocked when I turned to the last page of the book, one of the birds was dead and it had the name Paul written on it's wings "you need to see this Ethan"

Someone had left a book behind, with a brown bookmark stuck in between the pages. She picked up and glanced at the title. Barbarian, by an author named Bella. The cover of the book featured a winged creature with a beautiful woman. "That's a Wilding." Jordan said behind her. She looked at him in confusion. "What's that?" "A crossbreed offspring of a demon and a vampire." He explained. "Are they real?" "I have no idea. I've only heard of them in myths and legends." Scarlett looked down at the book again. For some strange reason, the winged man reminded her of Dylan. The same bone structure, facial features, perfect jawline and compelling eyes...

(Adelaide) Arkael smiled wide. "My favourite kind of story." He stepped beside her, carefully lifting one of the smaller volumes. "This one." He opened the cover. The moment the first page turned, Adelaide gasped. An entire paper forest rose from the book. Delicate trees unfolded themselves from the parchment, their branches twisting high above tiny cottages nestled amongst their roots. A paper fox no larger than her thumb peered out from beneath one tree while dozens of impossibly small birds seemed frozen in flight between the branches.
