Standing on a low, frosted branch directly in front of me was a bird. It was a snowy owl of staggering size, its plumage so blindingly white it seemed to radiate its own inner moonlight. Its large, round eyes were not the amber of a wolf, nor the pale grey of my own, but a deep, brilliant violet like two crushed amethysts glowing in the dark. It didn't fly. It didn't hoot. It simply sat on the branch, tilting its massive head, staring straight into my soul it made my breath catch in my chest.

“No, I don’t want to bother her. I’m fine.” Except Lucas was pretty sure he wasn’t. “Alex has shown you the animals already, right?” So that wasn’t going to be a way to distract the man. “We got a new bird in last night. Hit by a car. That’s what Elise says. He’s a turkey vulture—a pretty big bird. People say they’re ugly, but I don’t really think so. He’s got a broken wing, and Elise says flying is really important to them, so she’s not sure if we’ll be able to get him back into the wild.” What else could he possibly say about the damn bird? He was sorry he’d started. “I guess flying is pretty important to most birds.” Yeah. “Except penguins, I guess. Ostriches.”

Mira’s P.O.V. The white feather lay between us like a silent ultimatum. It didn’t scream the way the black one did. It didn’t have to. Black was death. White was worse. Because white meant choice. And choices… could rot you from the inside out.

Oisin said with crossed arms. The whistling sounded nice, but I was a little lost on what was exactly was going on in front of me. “What bird was that?” Phoenix asked. “I saw a pretty little red bird during our nightly trips. I liked it’s sound but I don’t know it’s name. It lives around here with it’s friends and family.” Rowena said. “That’s good.” Phoenix said. “That is exactly what we need as a signal.” Phoenix said. I was a little dazed with how Rowena described the bird. She seemed very loving to animals. Or was it just birds? I could vaguely remember when we talked about being a vegetarian, but they weren’t vegetarians.

"Why the sad face, Yifan?" asked an ancient voice that seemed to echo with the Dao. One could not determine whether the speaker was a male or a female, only that whoever it is, he or she must be ancestor-level old. "Do you miss your family?" Above the clouds, somewhere near the central part of the seemingly boundless lands, a beautiful white crane flapped its large wings against the midwinter wind. With a gigantic wingspan of one li, the crane looked nothing like an ordinary animal. Its feathers emitted a soft spiritual glow that wrapped its entire body with warm light, making it look equally sacred and majestic.

I was silent for sometime before I looked at the bird again but this time it flew away "Really? Why?" I asked Ron . The bird was very bright and it had different colors all over it's body "I don't know for sure but some say it's because it has the colors of the rainbow as it's color " he tells me with a shrug "Oh, I see. It's a beautiful bird" I state my observation and Ron nodded his head in agreement "That is it, no doubt" he agreed and comes to sit down opposite me "We had a meeting at the office today" he starts

A pair of binoculars rested on his lap. Catching sight of her, he pressed a finger to his lips, and gestured for her to join him. "Look," he whispered, pointing to a pair of fairly large birds. Pretty, with bluish-gray heads, pearly-pink breasts and brown wings mottled with black, they pecked at the ground some distance away. "Do you know what they are?" "Pigeons?" she ventured.

Evan thought as a glint of cruelty passed flash his eyes. As expected, after a few minutes of fighting, the big bird with brown and black feathers fall from the sky after it was defeated, the person who seems to be the one who is leading the group in white also fell wounded from the trees. His junior brothers immediately attended to him when he spat out blood, his face pale.

My eyes drank in every detail, like sponges soaking up water As we walked through the magical forest, I couldn't help but notice the birds flitting about in the canopy above. These birds were unlike any I had ever seen. Their feathers shimmered with iridescent hues, reflecting shades of blue, purple, and green with every movement. Some had long, elegant tails that trailed behind them like delicate ribbons One bird, in particular, caught my eye. It had a slender body covered in midnight-blue feathers that glowed softly in the dim light. Its wings were tipped with silver, and its eyes were large and expressive, like twin sapphires.

His hands turn into a fist on his sides. In less than a naked eye could blink thrice, a blue colored magnificent bird with huge slender wings flew its way inside the house and swiftly landed on Brylle's left arm looking so dangerously formidable yet graceful. It is a messenger bird, a very intelligent one too. It was actually been the only one of his kind left and existed in all parts of Lheda Kingdom. Nobody would be able to see any other kinds of it again. It also means that only Brylle have this magnificent specie as a pet.
