Logan walked into his room and slammed the door, raking his fingers through his ponytail in rage. He growled and fisted his hands, pacing the room as he tried to keep his anger in check. I looked up. She was perched above me, balanced on a dead limb ten feet off the ground, all muscle and sinew and impossible silence. The eyes were yellow and so wide open they looked cracked. Her fur was white—pure, snow-shock white, with not a speck of brown or gray. It was the rarest thing I’d ever seen. Even my father, old as he was, had only ever known one in his lifetime. She opened her mouth and showed me the daggers, teeth so clean they shone. The blood wasn’t hers.

Before Noah reached Mason, they attacked to free the Alpha. Noah used the chaos to sneak up behind Mason and latched onto the arm welding the knife and pulled it away from Luna Michelle’s neck. Fred gave her a weary look. "It won't work," Fred said. "White has found a way to kill you. He told me he would leave me with just enough strength to return back to you to let you know what is coming for you. Also, he has the Baron." He slightly shook his head. "He is going to kill you." It didn't matter though because killing humans was unacceptable and her death was inevitable. Another hour passed. Brandt and his wolves could hear the second team in the distance. His group changed to human. She had not gotten past them so they knew they were closing in. Brandt put his hand up and everyone froze. Up ahead he caught the first sight of his target and astonishingly her fur was pure white. The color was rare and it was a shame she would die. She was looking away from them but suddenly her head turned in their direction and a split second later she took off. Brandt gave chase, shifting to wolf and giving commands for the others to change and spread out around her.
