Who Betrayed Rimuru Novels & Stories

he whispered. “Empire be damned. If they turn on us, we burn it all and build something new.” The words healed something deep inside me. Trust, fragile and hard-won, began to rebuild in the ashes of betrayal. Outside, the fighting had quieted. Rico reported heavy casualties on both sides, but we had held. Elena dragged in two captured lieutenants who confirmed the worst. Aurora had played both sides again, feeding intel to our enemies before vanishing. The double life I’d been forced into was now fully exposed to the underworld.

Turning to look at them, I decide I have some questions. “Why?” I frown when they all frown at me. “Why now? Why betray him for us?” I have a lot more, but I have to take it one step at a time. They explain that since I left, Eli has become unreasonable. He moved his mistress back in as we suspected, and the pack didn’t like that. “Don’t lie to me!” I growl, feeling furious. “All of you knew about her the entire time.” “Yes, but she wasn’t the Luna. She still isn’t, but she acts like it.” Bernard steps forward. He was one of the gamma guards. Probably still is, and now he doesn’t like taking orders from someone who doesn’t officially have the rank.

“You betray your pack for money? You endanger my wife and child!” “He promised I would be his Beta,” he blurted out, his hands shaking violently. “He said the pack was better off without you and the people needed to see it. It was only to scare them, to make them rally against you. That was what he told me. I had nothing to do with their chant.” My hand wrapped itself around his jaw and I squeezed tightly. He whimpered as his eyes rested on mine. “Who promised you?” “Trevor.” I nodded, my eyes red with anger. “Did you kill him to protect yourself?”

"We don’t have all day. Speak." Victor swallowed hard, his hands trembling as he rubbed them together. "Lila, Damian... I—" He faltered, his voice cracking. Then he blurted out, "Lila, I’m sorry." I frowned, my gaze snapping to Damian’s. His furrowed brow mirrored my confusion. "Sorry? For what?" I asked, my voice steady despite the growing unease clawing at my chest. Victor’s face twisted in anguish as he began to speak, the words spilling out in a rush. "I’ve betrayed you both," he confessed. "I was the one behind everything—the shadows haunting you, Lila. It was me."

Rio pulled out a human-faced mask and tossed it at his feet. “And still, you tried to deceive me! I always thought of our childhood friendship, so when you proposed a fair contest, I never once complained! “But you used me as a pawn! You made me betray my country and harm Reverie! “You’re the one who deserves to die!” As they clashed, before Bayram could finish his sentence, Rio’s sword had already pierced his heart. As he collapsed to the ground, the Crown Prince’s gaze darkened slightly. At that moment, Rio held up his military token with both hands. “I, the traitor Rio Murray, have committed a capital offense. I humbly request that Your Highness deal swift justice to me accordingly!”

And I—helpless for the first time in years—had no idea how to fix it. Then, before I could reach for her, the door burst open. Smith. One of my most trusted packmates. Blood on his shirt. Panic in his scent. “We have a problem.” I stepped forward instantly, my instincts sharpening. “What happened?” Smith hesitated. And in that moment, I knew. A sinking feeling curled in my gut. “Who betrayed us?” He swallowed hard. “Thomas.” Rage flared through me like wildfire. Thomas. A brother-in-arms. A warrior who had stood beside me for years. A man I would have trusted with my life.

“Alpha Vikron had no idea at the time. He discovered years later that Sigewuf had masterminded the entire scheme.” “He was betrayed by his own brother,” I muttered, feeling the weight of betrayal heavy on my chest. The fu**ing monster...

“Just because I don’t live here, doesn’t mean I don’t hear things. They say your fated mate now fancies his fake mate. If that were false, he’d protect you from your stupidity. But no—he arrests you, our Alpha, our Luna, and all our officials!” What?! Even Alpha Henry, and my dad too? Even though I remain confident of Orvyn’s faithfulness to our mate-bond, Beta Clare’s words crash into my chest like stones for an inexplicable reason. I fall to the floor, shaken. Queen Aurora abruptly stands up, her posture clenching with frustration. “My son will never betray you, especially me. He’s just acting to gain Thalissia’s trust. You’ll see.” Her words could’ve overshadowed Beta Clare’s, but they do

– began to ask some warriors among the crowd. Raymald raises his hand for silence and continues. - That man over there, my current beta, entered the pack brought by Stephanie, as his cousin, and I betrayed the pack again, making him the beta for the last eighteen years. He wasn't a bad beta, but he is also Stephany's true mate, and he cheated on me countless times. The last one was trying to free my so-called "wife" from the prison where I put her, for the atrocities she committed. There will be many that I'm not aware of. Deep down I think that man – he says again pointing to the beta – was also a victim of Stephany, but he knew what he was doing, unlike others. I don't deserve forgiveness,

"Before you stand Ramona, a traitor to the Paxon pack." There was a murmur of shock and anger among the crowd. Ramona's eyes spinned around, taking in the hostile stare directed at her. She tried to maintain her composure, but I could see the flicker of fear in her eyes. "Ramona planned to leak important secrets to the Bluemoon pack," I continued, my voice steady. "Because she couldn't get her way, she resorted to treachery. She deceived some of our own, promising them a better life if they betrayed us. Those who followed her have been executed for their betrayal."
