When Love Crosses the Line
Murmurs died instantly.
Liam’s gaze shifted, and Amara felt her breath hitch. She could sense what was coming, even before he spoke.
“It was not Darren,” Liam continued, pacing slowly, deliberately around the table. “It was not some nameless rival lurking in the shadows. The sabotage… the leaks… the betrayal… came from here. From one of our own.”
Gasps. Shock rippled across the boardroom.
Amara’s hands clenched against her lap, nails digging into her palms. She wanted to stand, to speak, but she stayed silent. This was Liam’s battle. Still, her heart thudded violently, as though it might tear free.
