Little Emily

She knew the danger they were up against, and it terrified her. Eventually, the conversation wound down, and the brothers dispersed to their rooms. Emily lingered in the living room, staring at the family photos on the mantelpiece. She traced her fingers over a picture of the four of them, taken years ago, back when everything was simpler. Lost in thought, she didn’t hear Chris approach. He placed a hand on her shoulder, his touch gentle. “You okay?” Emily nodded, though tears pricked her eyes. “I just...I’m scared, Chris. Very different novel from others , hard to put down as gripping story line from ex husband's and scheming mistress , which are super boring. hope the author does justice to the story line. though dying of Austin wasn't necessary..
