the taller one mocked the helpless, old man. "Where?! I'm scared! Get me out of here!" screamed the old man, hysterically. But he just got laughed in return. "Absolutely crazy," the taller man, chuckled. Before they turned their backs, the shortest fellow left a spit on the old man's face, followed by a laughter. 'How rude!' Méah's mind yelled. After those ruthless jerks left, Méah found herself in front of the old man who gave her a terrified expression as though he had seen a literal ghost.

I watched her board a taxi and drive away. I closed the door and leaned against it, still clutching the knob. Everybody was going to visit him and here I was, cowering away in fear. In fear of rejection and defeat. What had I turned into? Me that could easily take on anyone and anything was now hiding in fear. My days of glory were over and now, I'm living in anxiety.

As soon as my steps went outside, I froze midway to see a man who had been holding down on the ground. Ace's men were grounding on him, pressing their knees on the old man. He looked around over forty something like aged. The scene looked utterly terrifying. Before I had the urge to question or confront Ace, the old man let out a sinister smile. His eyes moved to shift on me, whining in pain and at the same time taunting me, reminding us of our past, " Hello little princess!! "

CHAPTER 10: GRANDMA & CLUMSY Amelia Solace Bernard, the point of view. It burdens me so much while trying to push myself the wheels so that I can be able to go wherever I go. Add to that, this creepy yet weird looking man who wears the sunglasses under a tinted limousine while reading his newspaper is staring at me. “What?” I asked him, raising my right eyebrow to show him I don’t feel comfortable with his stares. “You look like a grandma.” He casually answers. When he finds out that I wasn’t happy at all, he burst into laughter while hitting the Doctor’s desk.

He said with a deepened frown which dropped after he spoke. He wasn't getting the point! Why will I be afraid of ancient words and writing on the wall or a box that glows? Why would I be afraid of being in the forest? Or being chased? If everything was lightheaded and funny, not disturbing and scary. I have never been afraid of a clown but apparently, it's my deepest fear according to Alpha Blake.

The man was very happy. After traveling for 30 minutes, Oliver and Sophia finally arrived home. The anxiety that had disappeared now came back when Oliver opened the car door for Sophia. Sophia looked at Oliver pleadingly. Sophia really wasn't ready to meet Ariana. Sophia was really afraid that the woman wouldn't like her, or even hate her because she was just a waitress. Oliver pulled Sophia's hand to get out of the car. He could feel that Sophia's hands were covered in cold sweat again. "Hey, calm down. My mom won't bite you."

I asked sarcastically, my lips twitching as I approached him. He took a step back, fear flashing past his eyes, but it quickly disappeared the second it appeared. “What can you possibly do?” He scoffed with a smug expression as he stared at me, “Kill me?” I halted in my step, sizing him up in disdain. “No.” I arched my neck to the side, checking for the vital points in his neck, “Something much memorable…” I smirked when I found what I was searching for. I lunged forward, the fear in his eyes satisfying me. I raised my knife, my jaw clenched when I felt hands on my arm.

The tingles feel too nice to just let go because of pride so i decided to keep holding onto him. I looked back up and he looked at me and asked "Afraid? What are you afraid of? " I see as he asked his confusion grew and was hard to hide. He looked like an adorable little kid that just made you want to pinch his cheeks. "Im afraid of getting hurt again" *************

Melina's response was filled with trepidation as she explained, her voice trembling, "Meemaw, there is a greater danger looming over me. Something... something I cannot comprehend. I am consumed by fear and confusion, unsure of what steps to take. That is why I have sought your counsel. Please, Meemaw, help me out." Sensing the gravity of Melina's words, Meemaw beckoned for her to sit down, her comforting presence offering solace. "Take a deep breath, my dear," her voice soothed, wrapping around Melina like a warm embrace. "Compose yourself and simply explain to me what has transpired. Why do you tremble so? What could possibly instill such fear within you?"
