He hesitated for a minute, then joined her.
"You look so troubled," she whispered to him.
"You can tell?" He raised an eyebrow at her.
She nodded.
"Really, I thought I masked it so well," he murmured.
"You don't always have to be perfect. It's okay to make mistakes sometimes. When you do, let it go. Brush it off your shoulders and forge ahead," she said, turning over on her side to face him.
He took in a deep breath before saying "My father always said that mistakes could make or mar you, so there is no place for it. Either you're perfect or you're a failure. It was a lifestyle, something that you lived daily to attain."
