All through his military career, he had been the number one marksman in his unit. When he transferred to the ETT he maintained his target precision and the nickname that came with it. “Nothing. Just thinking.” He replied to Johnson. Archer ran his hand through his hair, resting his elbows on his camouflaged covered knees. He interlocked his fingers, his chin resting on the crook of his knuckles. Johnson observed his comrade, Archer’s legs fidgeted disconcertingly which he only did when he was racking his brain for a solution

He clenched his teeth, knuckles white, veins jumping in his jaw, eyes wild. “Lower your weapon, warrior!” came the shout from the high stands. He still hesitated, and seeing that coward’s panic-stricken face gave him a vicious, bloody satisfaction. “I won’t say it again! Lower your weapon and identify yourself, or you’ll be disqualified and arrested!” Archer decided it was the Goddess’s call today, and killing him this easy would be too kind. He’d find a thousand ways to tear him apart, piece by piece. Archer stepped back from the body on the sand, lowering his sword.
