Why Are Fire Trucks Red Siri Novels & Stories

With Griff’s phone, we could call for an Überwald if the service ventured out of London, but first, we had to make sure nobody followed us into the forest. As we hurried down a path that wound down a rocky slope, my eye caught a distant flash of red. I turned around to find a fire engine racing down the track and cringed. I might have spent the last forty-odd years in another dimension, but since when did the fire brigade employ floating vehicles? They didn’t. This had to be the transportation enforcers, and they would soon want to track down the missing passengers.

"The fire at the hospital where your father was treated." "What?" Rain's voice was choking. "Impossible!" she argued again. "The hospital didn't catch fire. I was there a while ago until… until…." Rain couldn't continue her words. "Until I get you out of there!" said Jace. Rain's tears suddenly melted and fell onto the wet grass. "There's no fire. I only saw mons—" Rain sobbed. Some police cars and fire engines with bright red lights flashing arrived. Firefighters parked on the hospital grounds as they continued to spray water to extinguish the roaring fire. Not far from there, the police officers put up a yellow line.

I heard the screams and wails of the children and we ran faster. Rhonda, her staff and the children stood huddled in a group on the playground. They were trying to calm the children down. Guards and most of the pack fought the fire with hosepipes and buckets. It was hopeless. “Where in the hell are the firetrucks?” I asked through the mind-link. Joffrey linked back; “The trucks have been sabotaged.” Father mind-linked them to let the buildings burn and secure the estate. He bristled with anger, his blue eyes blazing with the color of lightning.

The scenes from before were still fresh in her memory, and the pillar of fire that she had conjured to consume the figures of C and D after seeing how they had obtained Red’s power was a memory that she would never forget. Turning her head to the television in her room, she realised that the electronic device was on, and that they were currently broadcasting the news of the huge fire that had swept an entire forest clean. It had taken firefighters several hours to bring the fire under control, and they described it as the strongest flames they had ever fought against. *This isn’t even the full extent of my power* Red boasted. “Shut up Red.”

Twenty minutes pass before another fireman comes to take over and I return to the truck for a drink of water. That’s when all hell breaks loose. Surround sound ringing of cell phones, fire department pagers going off. Dispatch comes in over the truck radio and I grab it up, listening over the mayhem on the street. And what I hear makes my blood run cold. It’s the code for a fire in progress and it’s…no… “No. No that can’t be the right address,” I shout into the radio. “Repeat.”

He turned to the burning building. "The FBI is being attacked?" Reynold was shocked as he ran. He covered Iryna with his body, to protect her from shooters. "Seems so!" Selena replied. The parking lot was on fire, a few vehicles were still usable. "Where is the car?" Reynold asked as he stood there. He passed Iryna to Selena. "Give me the keys so I can bring it around, no way I can navigate through the burning cars with her," Reynold asked.

I add a little flourish this time: crimson lightning crackles along the trucks, leaving glowing after-images in the air like red neon. I land it so smooth the board doesn’t even rattle. Seras (voice echoing from the top of the dam): “Show-off!” She’s up there in a cropped red flannel and black leggings, arms raised, maple-red flames spiraling around her wrists like living bracelets. Her mom’s training shows: the fire doesn’t flicker anymore; it dances, controlled, deadly, beautiful. Seras (grinning): “Race you to the cedar?” We bomb the hill side by side: lightning on my left, fire on her right.

The arrival of the police force was nothing short of a godsend. Ryan, always quick on his feet, had made a series of smart moves that undoubtedly saved a significant portion of the factory from being reduced to ashes. He immediately called for the fire brigade as well. The wailing sirens of the fire trucks could be heard in the distance, steadily growing louder as they approached. Within ten minutes, the fire brigade’s heroic firefighters arrived on the scene, their hoses and equipment ready to battle the raging inferno. With practiced precision, they unleashed powerful streams of water, dousing the flames and preventing them from spreading further.

“You’re not going in there.” I stopped fighting, my knees buckling Alejandro held me up even as I sagged against him “Please,” I whispered, clutching his shirt. “Please, Alejandro. Do something.” “I will,” he promised. “I swear to you, I will.” I kept listening for something—anything—beyond the roar of the fire. A voice, a cry, a sign that she was still alive. Nothing The sirens arrived a minute later, though it felt like hours. The fire trucks screeched to a halt, and firefighters poured out, their voices urgent as they assessed the scene.

Like this was all an everyday thing for him. They're trained to be this way all their lives. We were further into the city and there were more vehicles on the road now, most of them parked in garages, moving around frantically or carrying injured people—most probably to the hospital. "Tell them to not take vehicles that are being used." I muttered. "Yes, Field Marshal Andrei." He replied. The smell of the toxins, smoke from the fire and blood got more pungent in the air. More and more humans started filling the roads, all of them driving frantically, moving like headless chickens.
