The hallway stretched out with five identical doors. Lucas tightened his grip on Sophia’s hand, muttering, “Trust your senses.” The bell echoed, and he paused at the first door. Nothing smelled, off. He reached for the handle, but Sophia yanked him back, pointing to a faint discolored line on the floor. “Trap,” she whispered. They moved to the second door. Lucas opened it, jerking Sophia to the side as arrows shot out, narrowly missing them.
