Domino stood quickly. He grabbed a gun from his desk drawer. There was a loud click of metal. My mother's eyes widened, but she did not back down. “Did you not hear me?!”
“Go ahead,” she said. “Shoot me, Domino. Do it and have your demon heart happy. And the kids will know who their daddy really is.”
Domino pointed his gun at her. “I said shut up!”
The first shot hit her in the shoulder. Blood spattered against the wall. She fell, her screams hitting the roof. “You shot me,” She stuttered, raising her head to look at my father but she saw me through the door crack. Her eyes held worry, and guilt.
