Why Is My Body Trembling Inside Novels & Stories

I could feel it in my ears, in my fingertips, in the base of my throat. Eleven o'clock. Eleven fifteen. Each minute felt like it was pulling something tighter inside my chest. Some wire wound too many times, getting closer to the point where it either snapped or I did. Eleven thirty. I pressed my back flat against the wall beside the door. My whole body was shaking now. Not visibly maybe but I could feel it. A deep fine tremor running from my core outward. My hands. My legs. The air coming in and out of my lungs in careful controlled measures because if I let myself breathe wrong I was going to fall apart and I could not fall apart. Not yet. Not here.

"I feel my insides moving a lot, churning and returning to their place in a way that expands the tingling inside me. It's too weird, because the closer I get you to my body, the better it feels. >> But, at the same time, it feels like I'm walking to my death. Because my body can only take so much. I feel like I'm going to die and the worst thing is that my body is preparing itself as if there is something bigger to come. Something I don't know if I can handle" I whisper between moans.

Not falling apart like I am. When I reach my dorm, my hands shake so bad I can barely get the key in the lock. I fumble with it, nearly breaking it as I try to open the door. Finally, it turns and I shove myself inside. I slam the door shut behind me and lean against it, breathing hard. My legs give out and I slide down to the floor, my back against the wood. The trembling won't stop. My whole body shakes like I'm cold, but I'm not cold. I'm burning up from the inside.

NICOLE’S POV My legs were badly shaking. Not the cute, wobbly kind of shake that comes from cute babies. Nope. This was the kind of tremble that started from the tips of my feet and crawled all the way up to my entire body. I felt like every nerve had been electrified. My chest rose and fell in jagged breaths, lungs desperate for oxygen but only managing to draw out soft gasps that sounded more like moans. My thighs instinctively squeezed shut, hypersensitive and twitching, as if my body was still recovering from what Raymond had just done to me.

I felt like I’d been sandwiched between sweet heavens and the fires of hell. It didn't take long before I shattered with a loud cry, my body careening out of control. I cried out repeatedly as I tried to find a balance with the world tilting around. Finally, I came down from my high, and for the first time in what seemed like forever, the fires in me calmed...a bit. I dragged myself up from the ground, my legs shaking of their own accord, throwing aside the buzzing vibrator. I was torn between going to the kitchen to put something in my empty belly or going to the bathroom to wash up.

To the point where my body cannot control itself and shakes vigorously in terror. My throat feels heavy and my chest feels clamped up. It's almost as if I can barely breathe. I let my other hand fold over my palm, with the aim to stop it from quivering as violently as it already is but that only worsens my cause. Now, my entire being feels like it is on fire. I let out an exhale, running my hands through my hair while trying to take control of my breathing. I don't even know if this is working but I keep going regardless.

All these what-ifs start rolling around my head like boulders. My body is cold. I am freezing. My body begins to tremble, and my hands started to feel fuzzy. Why am I feeling this way? Did I get sick from all of the stuff that's happening around me? My knees feel weak. My heart is beating so fast that I am afraid I will have a heart attack. My heart flutters, signaling that it's skipping beats. The air I try to inhale won't fill my lungs. I gasp for air, bringing my hand to my chest.

His breathing was heavy as if he had run around the walls at least ten times. He passed his hands over his face, trying to remove the drops of sweat that impelled him, while he took deep breaths and closed his eyes, trying to calm his heart that seemed to want to come out of his chest. It’s just a dream, he said to himself to convince him that all those trembling sensations still shook his body. The terror felt seemed so real. It’s just a dream. Why do I keep shaking like a scared woman if it’s just a dream?

A whole-body tremor pulled me out of a sound sleep. I couldn’t catch my breath, my fingers and toes ached with the pins-and-needles feeling. Bina’s head popped off the pillow. “What’s wrong?” I couldn’t even catch my breath long enough to answer her. As it was, I could barely shake my head. Shrugging my shoulders was not in the cards at present. “Do I need to call a doctor? Linsus?” As if those symptoms weren’t bad enough, I broke out into a cold sweat.

My heart slams once, hard, like it’s answering back. I stumble back from the chair, breathing ragged. The shaking is uncontrollable now, the sweat rolling down my temple cold as ice. I drag a hand down my face, but the tremor doesn’t stop. Something’s wrong. I know that much. I lift my head and stare at the ceiling, trying to ground myself but all I see are flashes of her eyes. It fucks me up more. My heart won’t slow down.
