Wiccan And Hulkling Novels & Stories

The moment Hylda came into the picture and put Sadie to death the tradition had died with her. The witch's quarters looked old and worn down from years of neglect. Sadie was long gone by the time she had even been permitted to enter the pack house but she'd heard from the older generations what it used to be like. The walls apparently had a glow to them from the amount of magick in the room. There was rumored to be a large crystal sat in a well, center of the room where the users would replenish themselves. Foliage decorated the room making it look like a green house with work stations set up. Large wooden work tables covered in rare ingredients and spells books from past generations lay on

I replied firmly, keeping my gaze fixed on Aaron and Callie, who were watching me closely. "What were your motivations for such criminal actions?" the wolf asked, stepping closer with narrowed eyes, his imposing presence filling the room. "To fulfill my duty as a priestess, as ordered by the ancestors and by Hecate, our Goddess of witchcraft, magic, night, the moon, and spirits," I explained, my voice clear and resolute. I noticed that my words caught Callie’s attention; she lifted her chin slightly, focusing on me. "My methods may not have been the most correct, but my intentions were genuine. Rigan is the one chosen by our Goddess to guide us through what is to come!"

But for a werewolf whose nervous system had been shattered by a silver cage, that rhythm felt like a hammer against his brain. The remaining Hollow-Men didn't use fire or blades; they used Discordant Chanting. They began to hum a fragmented version of the "Hush," a broken melody designed to trigger the trauma in a werewolf’s mind. "You are broken, little wolf," the mages hissed in unison. "The cage is still inside you. The silver is still in your marrow. Give us the crystal, and we will end the noise."

I filtered to modern cases and started skimming. The third one stopped me cold. Case study from eighteen years back. A witch using a dampening sigil for concealment. The term showed up four times in the first paragraph alone. The write-up was all dry academic language but the picture it painted was crystal clear: a witch who’d stolen a wolf scent to move around inside pack society. The whole thing was anchored to a wolf host. Needed constant close contact. Cohabitation was listed as ideal. Sigil is placed at the base of the skull.

I cross over to it and read the bold header at the top: The Pact of Hucow Hollow. The ink swirls in a way that makes my vision blur. I blink hard, forcing myself to read. “Those who claim the Hollow are bound to the land. The land, in turn, will shape them.” “She will be chosen. She will be seeded. She will become.” “Milk for magic. Desire for devotion. Flesh for fertility.” What the hell does that mean? I skim further. The language is strange—part prophecy, part instruction. The words “binding,” “release,” and “sacrifice” repeat too often.

He blushes a bit and looks forward again. “Anyway,” she sighs, adjusting the blue velvet hood of her cape over her head, “hellhounds are often people cursed into the forms of animals–beasts. Wolves, bears, mountain lions… whatever the witch that cursed them feels is best. They are controlled by the witches, like an extension of their magic. And over time, they lose all sense of who they used to be before, turning… rancid. I don’t know how else to describe them, but they’re awful.”

The Hunt was dedicated to killing all supernaturals, saying that we were unnatural demons who needed to be extinguished. The first group they went after were the witches. The witches were the easiest species to get rid of since they were basically human. They didn’t have magic wands, hands, or pinkies. The witches believed in making their own magic. They had books that were passed down from generations, teaching them to make potions. They read directions out of a book, mixed some things together, said a few words, and poof the outcome is a potion. They had no sort of immediate defense once their potions were gone because they had to prepare them days in advance.

She swallows thickly and I feel my wolf’s heart sink a little as he considers his next words carefully. ‘It is tradition amongst witches, to keep their mother’s name. They are a matriarchal people, and the divine gifts that pass from mother to daughter ensures that they are revered by the men they bond with and provides protection for their offspring. It was necessary then, to ensure their survival, that they bond with the strongest men they could. That is why the Llewellyn witches always bonded with Sacred Moon Alphas or occasionally Betas. Our Moon Goddess, and the witch’s Blessed Mother, worked together to ensure the survival of their most powerful and cherished children.’ His explanation

Was my name Latsyrc? “Wait a minute!” I spoke out loud as another thought struck me. Latsyrc spelled in reverse was Crystal! I smacked my head. Why hadn’t I thought of this before? The answer was always there in my wolf’s name. Hollow Hills was created by Goddess Latsyrc who made the hills out of crystal. She was the Goddess of three realms, born out of the flames of the Underworld–which represented the demon inside me, molded by the lights of heaven—the angelic wolves called me their Luna and given birth by a witch blessed by the Goddess herself to be the surrogate–my mom was a gifted witch who communicated with Selene.
