Olivia would faint more than once if she could see this right now. I slowly walk between shelves, running my hands across the dark brown, sturdy wood that holds the books, feeling its smooth lamination. Every corner is perfectly labeled, so whoever is in here can easily find what they need. Whoever maintains a place like this definitely knows what they're doing. I stop, curious, at an aisle and reach for a first edition book on "The Technicalities of Wolf Shifting." I have no interest in it, but the vibe in the room prompts me to pick it up.

The west wall was an accent wall with nothing but one gigantic painting of the back of a woman in a white dress. The details were incredible. Her hair, the creases on her dress, the freckles on her shoulder blades. Everything. There were two big vases in both corners. There was an ash grey sofa with a table in front of it. The crown molding was white, merging into the grey of the ceiling. Behind Damen, there was a wooden table covered with lots and lots of papers and books and whatnot.

The study was dark, so I opened the blinds and took in the room. It was very... August. Brown. Black. More black. Not a single color brave enough to survive in here. There was a minibar. I wasn't surprised to find it stocked mostly with expensive whiskey. The bookshelf took up almost an entire wall. Business books. Finance books. Leadership books. Books about making money. And by the far side of the office, right next to the floor to ceiling window, he had his white three-sitter and one-sitter couch with a matching center table that depicts elegance and convenience. The three-sitter white couch has one of these buttons you push to convert the couch into a bed. You could rest while at work, that’s the idea. Bookshelves line the walls, filled with an extensive collection of rare and valuable books, covering a wide range of subjects from finance and economics to art and philosophy. This was the most content I've been in my entire life. "Twin gifts" I whispered to the books as I walked threw to the back and found more tables and behind them were more vertical rows of book cases under the balcony. After the first set of shelves it was pitch black and I wondered what was hiding back there. I walked over to them and seen all the books were dark green and made out of a soft scale material I ran my fingers over them and felt each bump. It was a big room really huge room. Despite all the lavishness it holded, all the antics it looked depressing, it was all black, black coloured painted walls, Black rug on door, mostly black furnishings, with a silver chandelier hanging above me and minimalistic white antiques in black surroundings. It looked like a boring bedroom, with no extra furnishings, a huge office table placed at last of the room, there was a big shelves of book. All classics, Business, Finance related books. Hardy's book was on the last of the shelf. I loved this collection.
