Heyo, I'm Chime Chininso. Thank you for taking the time to check out my book. You've made this author a happy Shadow is my first story and you are going to enjoy it. If you haven’t seen my other work “Confessions Of An Exorcist” please do. It’s worth the read. I’m gonna blow your mind. This work is completely an imaginative one. It would be best not to get offended by it. Any character in resemblance to actual person—living or deceased is a coincidence. Every character in this book is a product of the author’s imagination and hard work.

The closer we got the more I could feel the darkness seeping from the book. 'That's the shadow book. Our contracts can be found in that book. They can be made and broken through that book. Make sure no one ever finds it here. They'll want to take it.' Shade informed me. I stepped closer, really curious now. I laid my hand over the glass, peering down at the book and reading the Latin words umbra. The book opened beneath the glass when I spoke the word. It flipped to a page with Shade's name on it. There was a tiny baby handprint in blood…my blood, my baby hand.

Golden arrows slowly emerged, timidly trying to chase away the shadows of the night. The great fire disc made its appearance. First, it emerged as a red line growing wider and wider until it rose victorious into the angelic blue sky, ready to stretch its arms over the whole earth. It tamed its color slightly, becoming comforting as it shyly soaked up the night frost with which you would think it was soothing its own color.

The witches explained that although they couldn't kill the vampire part of them, they could make it dormant so that it would only surface when Lisa or the baby called upon it, otherwise it would appear as if it didn't exist. Kamar, Alora, the witches, and Lisa, carrying the baby, head to the cabin. A half-mile walk was all it took to get to the cabin. Alora, Kamar, and Lisa and the child were the only people who could see the cabin after the witches placed protective wards on it; otherwise, it was invisible to everyone.

One more lie had been erased. He walked to the back of Marcus’s SUV and used a finger to write in the layer of canyon dust on the rear window: SILENCE. He then took the laminated card—the same design as the one left for Julian—and placed it in Marcus’s lifeless hand. The silk has been cut. The Shadow’s Return Silas climbed back up the ridge, disappearing into the scrub brush as the first hints of a cold, grey dawn began to bleed over the horizon. He moved with the same deliberate, unhurried pace.

She had meant every word. A choked sound tore from his throat; his fist slammed the wall. He never wanted divorce. He had believed he could walk two lines—one, his marriage to Lena; two, his careless indulgences. Today, both snapped. He unleashed the full might of the House of Black. Ghouls surfaced from Wall Street trading floors to Washington corridors. “Find Lena Black. Scour every database. Every shadow.” He summoned the Black Clan elders at midnight, obsidian rings glinting under candlelight. "Mobilize every asset," he commanded, voice cracking with raw authority.

They began to walk toward the smoke, leaving the darkness of the earth behind them, and stepping into the blinding, dangerous light of the unknown. End of Chapter 14

Several moments later he returned carrying a book unlike any I had ever seen. It had no title. Its cover was completely white. When he placed it in my hands, I noticed something even stranger. Every page was blank. Chaos looked intrigued. "I haven't seen that one in centuries." "What is it?" I asked. Order gently turned the first page. "A reflection." I frowned. "Of what?" He smiled softly. "A missing soul." Silence settled over the room. He looked at me. "Picture the one you're searching for." I closed my eyes.

I made my way to a section of the library I had never ventured to; the history section. I scanned the titles on each of the books until I finally saw one that had what I was looking for. ‘The white wolves: an extinct species' the cover read and I pulled it out. I settled on the floor, ignoring the dust which immediately clung to my clothes as I pulled the book open. The door burst open and I gasped as I turned to the intruder. “What do you think you are doing here?” Silas asked with blazing eyes and I gulped. He stared from the book in my hand to me and I wondered what explanation I would give to possibly come out of this situation unscathed.

the voice continued, and a shiver ran down my spine as I realized that it was emanating from the large, old book laid out on the table before us. As Aunt Agatha guided me to a chair and seated me, my eyes were drawn to the book, its pages glowing with a deep purple hue that seemed to pulse with otherworldly energy. As my fingertips brushed against the weathered cover of the Book of Shadows, a surge of energy coursed through my veins, sending shivers down my spine. It was as if the very essence of the book pulsed with ancient power, alive and vibrant beneath my touch. "What... what is this?" I whispered, my voice barely audible in the hushed confines of the cottage. But the book remained sile
