Her form shimmered, splitting, duplicating. "She’s merging with the shadows!" Emma yelled. "She’s becoming something else!" The Sophia-thing lunged forward, knocking them both to the ground. Just as she raised her claws for the killing blow, a roar echoed from the trees. Long burst into view, dragon wings unfurled and eyes blazing. She unleashed a cone of fire that engulfed Sophia in molten heat. Sophia shrieked as the flame tore into her shadow-woven body. She retreated, vanishing into black mist that fled deeper into the forest.

“You are not just fire. You are more. You carry every wolf, every soul, every drop of blood in this pack in your veins. Don’t let her break you. Burn brighter.” Raven’s claws trembled, her body aching, her fire nearly spent. But she saw her wolves—bleeding, broken, but still standing. Still fighting. For her. Selene’s serpents hissed, her new wings blotting out the battlefield as she rose above them. “Then burn,” Selene whispered, her voice a chorus of shadows. “And when your fire dies, the world will fall into my night.” Raven’s heart hammered. When they had exited the cave, I stepped back and used my super heat vision on the fuel that was flowing from the jet’s fuel tank. The fire caught quickly and spread to the jet. It exploded in a quick manner before they managed to escape. I tried to be as quickly as I could and before I could get out of the cave, the force from the explosion threw me out of the cave.
