Wings of Momentum

Wings of Momentum

I had his arm pinned to his back while my wings beat at the air in big swings causing feathers and dust to cascade around us. He may be fast, but I was stronger, with wings. I pushed off of him, jumping as my wings beat downwards propelling me upward, and I perched on the railing that ran along the edge of the first floor platform. There I waited while he straightened his cloths. I hurt the wolfs pride, but what must be done is now done.

Black Wings

Black Wings

Ravi gazed at Raymond with understanding and asked, "Why did you go outside and reveal your wings? We've talked about this, haven't we?" Raymond's eyes shifted away from Ravi's gaze. "Someone was constantly looking through Ravi's window, so I came to see." "And you revealed your wings? Listen, Raymond, you mustn't display them in public. People will be scared, and it will lead to many problems," Ravi explained patiently, hoping to make Raymond understand. Upon hearing Ravi's words, Raymond immediately stood rigid, his head automatically tilting down, showing clear signs of remorse. But Raymond remained silent, closing his lips tightly. Ravi sighed heavily and stared at Raymond intently as Ra

OFFERED TO THE LYCAN KING

OFFERED TO THE LYCAN KING

I wanted him to do it himself. I knew that this was selfish, but my fucking life was on the line. I wanted him to be selfish. To come forward and whisk me out of this nightmare before they killed me, but he didn’t. He stood rigid on his chair like he was fighting hard to not get him. I wanted him. So badly. “The Test of Fire,” Gideon said, his voice solemn. “If she is truly a witch, the flames will not harm her. If she is not, she will burn.”

The Reaver Chronicles: Ramses (Book 3)

The Reaver Chronicles: Ramses (Book 3)

A large pair of wings made from fire had sprouted from his back sometime in the clutter and he was flapping them wildly. With every flap he spread air to the already raging fire below him. The ice shards melted instantly under the extreme heat. “His wings, go for the wings!” Raphael shouted, and he was right. I instantly forged a staff from ice and sent it hurtling through the air towards his wings. I thought because it was made of more ice than the shards it would withstand, but It melted before it even reached his wings.

The Devil's Broken Doll

The Devil's Broken Doll

The scale of him forced the eye to adjust, to recalibrate what counted as a threat, what counted as a weapon. His wings unfurled behind him. Not in a single, theatrical sweep, but in a measured expansion that claimed the space as its own, the membranes stretching outward in layered arcs, catching the rising heat and bending it to his will. The edges burned in deep, smouldering crimson, not bright but dense, like coals banked beneath ancient ash, pulsing in time with the fire beneath his skin. Drifting ash caught along their span, then burned away in curling wisps, leaving no mark. These were not the wings of any bird. They were banners torn from an infernal altar and set ablaze. That fire wa

Caution to the wind

Caution to the wind

Artemis White's POV I stood in the garden, Khione, Major Herrington, Miguel, Maria, Sebastian and the team behind me. They were silent, as was I. Ayame Rivers stood in front of me, her eyes observing me carefully. "The first test is a Trial of Will", she said slowly. "Walk the firewalk. Show me that you can endure the pain, push through at all costs. Only those with a strong will can face their future properly," she continued. Then, she raised a hand and swiftly, in one fluid motion, jagged and uneven rocks catching fire, coal burning on them, under them and between them.

Her Worst Nightmare

Her Worst Nightmare

When I was almost upon it, the creature's face turned, twisted, that awful smile lighting up its molten features, and it rose almost to its feet, its wings opening up fully, the golden hue of its feathers dazzling my eyes. I blinked away the glaring light, but refused to stop, holding out my arms. Beneath my skin the blue veins were glowing, growing brighter with each step closer that I took, and then when the Power was just a few metres away, it burned the brightest of all, the heat erupting from my hands. The fireball hit the Angel's wings with so much force that it was flung backwards where it rolled, desperately trying to extinguish the flames. These were no ordinary flames though and I

Azian (Prince of Dragons)

Azian (Prince of Dragons)

It was like he had stepped right into the heart of a raging fire. He seemed to not be himself as Alpha took over, then suddenly a blanket of flames flew up about three feet off the ground on either side of him, glowing brightly. His head was bowed low before he finally looked up, his eyes flying open a deep fiery pit of gold, that showed no emotion at all, and Instantly the flames surrounding him died out, the blanket of flames on either side of him, hanging three feet in the air suddenly cooled, fading away into two huge golden wings, smooth like a plate of golden metal, and two shimmery horns protruding from each point of conjunction.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love the characters and how well you have them interact with each other. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much when reading a book. Even though I had an inkling on where the story might go, I preferred to follow along with your storytelling instead.

Forged In Fire

Forged In Fire

Her hand moved. Fast. Reaching for something on the table beside her. A gun. CATARINA I saw it before Jameson did. The way her eyes shifted. The slight lean of her body. The desperate calculation of someone with nothing left to lose. My hand was already moving. The dagger left my palm in a perfect arc—muscle memory, years of training, instinct honed to a razor's edge. It flew true. Fiona's fingers had just closed around the gun when the blade hit her.
