On night, I heard faint noises coming from outside my window, but I was too exhausted to get up and check. The next morning, I was surprised to find that the window the wind had broken had been repaired. It was even sturdier than before. One night, someone knocked on the clinic door. I thought it was a patient, but when I opened the door, no one was there. Only a large bucket of hot water sat on the ground. In winter here, water was a scarce resource.
