Seven Years of Winter Before Spring

Seven Years of Winter Before Spring

Wendy let out a cold sneer, “The last two years, your mother would deliberately pour boiling hot water on my hand, but you just told me to put up with it. I only got four hours of sleep a night just to take care of her. And you think that's okay?” Her voice shook. “You’re even talking about love?” Someone upstairs opened a window. “What’s with all the yelling at this hour?!” Austin tugged at her sleeve. “Come on, let’s go.” Wendy shook off Miles’ hand. “I’m truly tired. Those two years have drained all my feelings for you.” She turned around and headed upstairs. “Don’t ever come back.” Miles stood there, watching the stairwell lights flick on floor by floor until the third floor went dark.

Midwinter Town: A Novella

Midwinter Town: A Novella

He left the room. A fierce winter covered the forests with heavy snow-clusters and icicles, and filled ravines to their edges with drifts, so that the whole land seemed a single white plain. Great, sudden storms came, in which men and herds were lost under the pall of snow; roads grew misleading and perilous. A lonely Jaweldur howled in the distance.

THE VILLAINESS REMEMBERED ME:In Every Timeline, She Chose De

THE VILLAINESS REMEMBERED ME:In Every Timeline, She Chose De

Morwen taught the history, Seren told the stories, Iriel and Kaelen taught the anchor ability. A new student arrived in the depths of winter. She was young, perhaps twelve, with pale hair and grey eyes that seemed to hold the winter sky. Her name was Winter, and she had traveled from the far north, where the gold flowers grew in the ice. "The watcher called me," Winter said, standing at the garden gate. "It said there was work for me here." Morwen studied her. There was something familiar about Winter—not in her face, but in the quality of her attention. The same intensity Morwen had seen in Clara, in Seren, in all the witnesses who had come to the garden afraid and stayed anyway.

The Winter Knows No Frost

The Winter Knows No Frost

Soon, old scandals resurfaced, banks withdrew loans, partners abandoned ship, and reporters besieged the mansion. Kirk updated me. "Richard blames it all on Olive, saying she colluded with outsiders to drain the company. Liam and Neal have cut ties with the Winters and are being hunted by Richard's enemies." I paused on a page—an equity certificate for a biotech company my mother owned. In my past life, Richard had obsessed over it but couldn't unlock its technological secrets. I closed the file. "Time to let him know what it feels like to lose everything." Three days later, the Winters Group declared bankruptcy.

The Werewolf Summoning

The Werewolf Summoning

“I didn’t even want a mate to begin with and now I’m stuck with one. And you were always so sure that this was something that you wanted.” “His brother killed his sister,” said Winter, “how do I know that he won’t do something just as violent to me?” Nora reached out and took Winters hand in hers. “What was it you said that you saw?” Winter flinched. “When I bumped into him in the hallway, I saw him push a girl off of a cliff. His sister. And he claims it was his brother but it….it really did look like him.” “Winter, if she was pushed off of a cliff, he didn’t kill her. Werewolves can’t die by drowning. It might cause them some discomfort. But they’ll still come out of it alive. Didn’t you h

Sold as the Alpha King's Breeder

Sold as the Alpha King's Breeder

"How many times do I have to remind you that we're not in Winter Forest anymore? There are real seasons in Valoria, Maeve. Not just Winter and Break-up." I grunted, pulling away from her as she reached for my face with a glob of yellowish salve on her fingers. Gemma was right, though. Our springs and summers back home were brief and often chilly. Break-up signified the breaking up of the ice over our rivers and lakes, basically another word for spring. But the snow still hung on the mountains even in late summer, most of it never melting at all. "I just wanted to wear Rowan's jacket, that's all. It's not even that thick, you know. It's a flannel."

I love this story. I like being able to see things unfold between people who are trying to ignore the way the feel and things they want. Can't wait to read more and see how things play out between Ethan, Rosalie and Madelynn. I just hope Madelynn doesn't do something stupid again. Fingers crossed
Fox 2005
dark in the beginning, a world of old-fashioned or rather cruel traditions. focusing less on the werewolf side, but on the efforts the characters live through, to come into and crate a brighter future for their children. each book following one generation in a very catching created world. RECOMMEND.

Winter

Winter

“It means a lot to know of the past. The few of us who enjoy translating do feel as if treasure can be found within the pages. Something that could potentially change our whole perception of the past.” “Were werewolves around with the dinosaurs?” I stopped, looking at Winter as she walked ahead of me. She stopped when she realized I wasn’t following. Turning, she cocked her head to the side. “What?” “Were…werewolves…around when the dinosaurs were? Did you just…ask that? Have you paid any attention in any history class, Winter?” She rolled her eyes. “I mean…you know what I mean.” “No. No, I really don’t. Explain.” Sitting down on a bench, I crossed my legs and waited for her. “Please explain.

What a special read! A lot more wholesome than other books but the plot story & unexpected twist captivates till the end. Winter holds a special place as a MC. She perseveres and has so much control of her situation despite her circumstance - strength through adversity.

The Last Guests of Winter

The Last Guests of Winter

They stood there, stunned, staring at the heavy snowfall blanketing everything in white. Rhett quickly came up with an excuse about the roads being too slippery and persuaded Ruby to come back inside. The group began scrambling to find anything to keep warm. They searched the entire villa, upstairs and downstairs, but could not even find a single thick blanket. After a long while, they ended up huddled together on the couch in the living room, still dressed in short sleeves and shorts. They told Jasmine to call me for help. I comforted her for a bit, then deliberately sounded troubled.
