Chapter 15 There are so many things I wish for in my life. I wished for my mom to be a little younger, I wished for Cassandra to stop sleeping around,I wished to have a baby without getting pregnant (which is not weird). Lastly,I always wished for Callum to love me back(now that is weird)

It seemed to watch over me like a silent companion, a visitor like me. When I lowered my gaze back to the fireflies, they seemed to gather closer, as if drawn to my presence. My heart lightened a little despite everything. I closed my eyes and began to make my wishes. I wished for forgiveness from Mommy—for her to accept me back and let me come home. I missed her and the warmth of our family more than words could say. Then I wished for clarity about Justin. If we were truly not meant for each other, I hoped for a sign—so I would know if I should stop waiting or keep hoping. But maybe I shouldn’t wait anymore, since he had Lenita now. The thought tightened my chest with sadness.

No rewriting necessary. We may get an opportunity now after many weeks have passed.

I smiled, my heart warming with joy, and said, "Ok, let's try this and see!" I carefully took out the tiny tear from its resting place and placed it in the palm of my hand, feeling a surge of excitement and hope. I spoke the words Whisper had whispered to me, my voice filled with conviction and longing. "I wish for an ancient Luminari, Male, who would love Whisper with all of his heart and soul, and they would have many children together, filling their lives with joy and laughter, and live happily together forever!" Whisper's eyes grew wide with wonder and anticipation as the tear began to glow, radiating a soft, ethereal light. Then, in an instant, it disintegrated into dust, leaving behind

“Why? Why me?” I wish I could just erase the past couple of days from my life! I wish the memories never came into my mind haunting me! I wish I didn’t have those dreams! I wish I didn’t have a past……a long ….long past! I wish I never came to Odessa, I wish I never got the scholarship, because it all started after that! -- (Flashback two weeks ago----)

Chapter Twenty Nine Nina “Set me free” The wish should have been that simple and short. My first thought was to use this once in a lifetime opportunity to plead with Alpha Aiden to set me free and let me go back home to my family but on second thoughts, I changed my mind and asked for a more realistic wish after winning the bet ,which came as a shock to me that I can take down Alpha Aiden after witnessing and knowing how strong he is. “ I promise to give you my word , so what’s your wish Nina?” questioned Alpha Aiden.

“For a wish to be granted, an equivalent price must be paid. If the price cannot be paid, the wish will not be granted. And if it is granted…the wish will come true…” Cressida had smiled at her humorlessly, and it had sent a chill down her spine back then. “People often misunderstand. They think the price has something to do with the wish, but that’s not it. Has no one ever considered that maybe the price depends on the person making the wish?”
