“So, how about this? A little family reunion. I’ll make you into the very thing your bloodline once hunted.”
My breath hitched as Desmond leaned closer, his mouth hovering just above Silas’s skin. I wanted to move, to do something—anything—but I stayed frozen, rooted to the spot by the chains and my own hurt.
“If you survive my hunt,” Desmond whispered, “then you become my wolf.”
And then he bit down.
