The Alpha King's Breeder

The Alpha King's Breeder

I ask, trying to keep my mind off my dying mate, who is now so weak she’s barely breathing. “I don’t remember,” the witch says quietly. She sighs, closing her eyes. “Your mate might die.” I lick my lips and squeeze Ella’s hand. “What can be done?” The witch tilts her head to the side, her eyes still closed. She whispers something to herself in a language I’m only vaguely familiar with. It’s an old tongue–the language spoken when the other Firestone cities, like Veiled Valley, were still standing. She opens one eye, squinting, and adjusts the position of one of the crystals.

These books have been my lifeline. I am crushed to reach this point and have to leave this beautifully tragic world and all its perfectly flawed characters. I can't wait for the next update, and honestly hope (though I know it is in vain) we get to follow this family tree for even more generations.

Her Eyes of Emerald and Fire

Her Eyes of Emerald and Fire

Eliza scoffs, “Demonic is two languages in one, dwarven is sharp and has so many glottal stops. Angelic is demonic but kind of reversed, and elvish is so breathy it barely uses words. Draconic is hard, don’t get me wrong but it’s not the most difficult to speak, that would be Orcish. I never got the hang of it, so many growls, and if you get the tone wrong, you’re unintentionally insulting someone’s mother.” Serena laughs and nods,

He looked fierce like if they looked funny her way, he would squash them like bugs. “It’s the simple locking spell but I just wrote it in Old Lyra. I had to expand and adjust some circles to fit the context in the first and third layers which probably make it look much more complicated.” Esmer and the witches just looked at her with their mouths hanging in disbelief. Witches were scholars who studied a spectrum of things from the day they were born to the day they died. These witches were the best among them. Even they hadn’t ever thought to learn Old Layra as it was a dead language. What they didn’t know was that there was a Silver Stone mine in Laylin’s territory in Ehan. The scriptures fo

Wow! just finished reading it and i love Laylin's character!! ...She's a literal girlboss with etiquettes. Her resilience is practical and she's dare devil, haha. How she goes from being a puppet to the real mind behind her tyrant husband is so satisfying!!
Starry Start

Moon's Betrayal

Moon's Betrayal

I would think that through later. “I recognized the incantation language. It is a rare dialect of the Hecatheem coven. They were the original witch family. It will take time to fully translate what he was saying, but that coven was not known for its purity,” Macario explained. “That’s great insight. Thank you, Macario,” I told him with a smile. He returned it with one that did not meet his eyes, but I would not take it personally. Nobody would be feeling bubbly right now anyways.

" All the books I've read, I've never come across this language before. Even when I tried to study the Tamil language which dated back to 350bc, I couldn't learn any. "The language's Sanskrit. The second oldest language ever. You could find it in Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism etc..this was the language of the gods back in the days, when they ruled among us. It could be found essential in 5000bc. I can not tell you the meaning of the language. This is only done by royal witches." She explained. My heart stopped, and my breathing ceased. Does it mean my hard work had been nothing?. Where do I find a royal witch after her sudden disappearance years ago?.

Vlora shouted back. "cuéntanos Que le Paso al mortal!" "cuéntanos Que le Paso al mortal!" "What kind of language is this?" Debrah, who knitted her eyebrows in confusion asked her wolf cousin. "Spanish...you don't know?" Vlora could only narrow her brow. The minutes passed by and the witches kept on chanting until a current hit their hands and the circle was broken. Taking a deep breath, Leticia was speechless. Her astonish face said it all.

the witch says. Thin strands of light shoot up from the inner circle, wrapping around my ankles like threads. They’re not solid—not rope, not chain—but they feel heavy, sticky, like spiderwebs soaked in honey and iron. The witch begins to chant in a language older than the walls around us. The other two join him, their voices weaving a low, droning melody that sets my teeth on edge. Malric steps forward, unrolling a scroll with exaggerated care.

Taming the Alpha Twins

No simple task, to be sure. He chuffed as he came to a halt for the others to stop. There was a little confusion from the witches, but that was understandable. They weren’t trained to fight with intelligent beings that can’t speak a language they know. The idea of wolf shifters or werewolves could speak or use telepathy was laughable to Chris and many others. They did have a form of simplified language that they were taught when they first shifted in later childhood. There weren’t formal lessons, but it was something a wolf picked up along the way.

I think it's an anagram. ~~ "Actually, it's a kind of ancient Lykonian language that witches may use to encrypt a message. And you aren't wrong about it being an anagram either, Kael," Kael's mother said as we settled round the cushion in the parlor back in Reid's castle. Despite her being human, I was amazed at her deep level of knowledge with the Luparian language and culture. Much better than mine to say the least. "Well, there should be a way to demystify that, right?" Cassius asked.

The Alpha's Mate (#1 The Southern Werewolves Pack Series)

Mira said, running her fingertips on one of the blades. Each of the blades had engraving on them. Those words were the old tongue, the language used by the high priestess of the magic community. There were only three people who spoke fluently of the old tongue. Due to their small number, Mira never mentioned their location to anyone. Not even to Amanda. Mira was gifted with several scrolls of magic spells after she had saved one of the priestesses from abduction. Amanda looked at the arsenal. “No fake knife? I don’t want to accidentally hurt you and the Alpha would maul me into pieces.”
