"Trish, stop being upset. Try some of these cookies Vivian baked for you." I turned my head away. "I'm not eating them." Zeke handed me a cookie. "Come on. Just eat it, and we'll be good. Stop throwing a tantrum, and cut it out with the nonsense about your wedding." I immediately smelled the faintest hint of mango in the cookie and quickly tossed it aside. "This is mango-flavored. Are you trying to kill me?" Zeke's expression darkened. "Trish, what are you doing? Vivian made these cookies herself. We've checked, and there's no mango in it. Stop being paranoid!"

She's small and extremely sweet, but talked really fast, and I found myself struggling to keep up as she threw a ton of information at me all at once. Now I'm feeling like I ran a marathon. I toss my bag down near the door, kick my beautiful shoes off near the entryway, ignore the fact that they gave me blisters, and hurry into the main room. It smells incredible. "What is that?" I ask as Scar welcomes me from the kitchen. "Dinner," he says, holding up a bottle. "And champagne." He pops off the cork. I laugh as he pours two glasses. "What's all this for?"

Zeke ordered but I threw my face away, ignoring him. “If you want us to do this the hard way, then we will.” He let out a low growl. “Who is Ginger Carmine and why is she in my sister's body?” I blurted out, going off topic entirely. I needed to know all the details if I was ever going to escape with Taloria. “Oh, I see Jamie has broken the news to you already.” He nodded while I waited for him to answer my question. “Ginger is one of the most powerful witches to ever live. She possesses great powers which every sensible man would want to keep for himself and she is the reason for all this trouble!” He continued.

However, it could not recover because the body was no longer alive. Walter approached and looked closely at the wound. "Burned," he muttered. Merry put her nose to the wound and sniffed the scent. "Wolfsbane," the woman said. She then shifted and examined the area around Jendra's lips. She opened the lip and found the same scar. "I bet he picked the flowers with his hands and then ate them raw," Merry said. Walter licked his lips and then rubbed his jaw. He was getting convinced that Jendra could not have done such a stupid thing without a good reason. But what would make Jendra act like that?

They all look really terrified. "You names me terror and manipulated me to cause terror to your enemies. Now I am going to cause you such unimaginable terror if you don't give me what I need. And that is information on how to enter the Wizard Realm and free the young missus." Marge looks conflicted. She opens her mouth then closes it like a fish out of water. The other redhead witch decides to talk. "I will show you I'd you promise to free me and.." "Shut up Griselda! Why would you betray the great Wizard just because of a mere threat from a measly bear?"

They were chatting excitedly and she didn’t want to ruin their fun. She also gave some checkerboard cookies to her son. Werewolves can’t stomach chocolate after their first shift but they can before that, so it was safe for him to eat it. But she planned to stop giving him chocolate at 10. Or else even after he shifted, he would find it hard to resist eating the appetizing chocolate products. The cookies she brought for Lavana were different. They were flavoured with vanilla and little milk. After shifting, werewolves can’t take too much milk in their system. So a little occasionally is recommended.

Your Mr. Waddlebug is a superb baker,” she continued while chewing. “I shall have to meet him.” “Perhaps in a bit,” Corey replied, his hands folded on his lap. “He’s just stepped out.” “Oh, well, he’s a master in the kitchen, that is for certain,” Serendipity said, continuing to munch down the rest of the leg, followed by another of the gingerbread man’s limbs.

I was, however, beyond grateful for even the smallest of human privileges. “Here,” Rowan said, passing me a small slice of ginger. “Thanks,” I smiled, turning it over in my hands. It smelt strong, spicy, and it reminded me of fire, of flame. I hoped it would protect us all, though I had my doubts. I imagined it forming a flame around me, and then I pictured it spreading, healing and saving rather than destroying as it formed a shell around our eclectic group of vampires, witches, and a lone werewolf.
