My mind was swayed by the will of the man in front of me. It was unnerving and foreign and screamed of everything wrong and unnatural. I tried to scream as a wide grin stared down at me. It wasn't for the fact that the man was smiling down at me, but for the large sharp teeth that were housed inside of his mouth. "Do you feel afraid?" I tried to fight off the vampire's compulsion, but he was stronger than I was. 'Sh*t,' I thought. 'He must be a pureblood vampire.' There was nothing more dangerous and threatening to halflings such as myself than pure-blooded vampires.

He had waited over thirty years, he wouldn't waste a minute. As he raised off his stake, ready to attack the defenseless creature, the door suddenly opened and two huge vampires walked in. Marco and the vampire King were already transformed into the evil creature that they were. Their fangs were out, revealing their glory to the shocked man. With their protruding ears and red eyes, Matthew knew there was no way he'd survive what was about to happen. The vampire King quickly attended to both Bella and Adonis while Marco faced the Hunter.

He enlightened her. "Breed? There are breeds? Aren't you all the same?" Adrianna was dumbfounded to know that vampires have different breeds. He got up and went to grab a book from his shelves, and hand a heavy book to Adrianna. "This will help you because I am not good at explaining things and facts." Said Alaric. Her palms touched the cover of the book which looked antique and royal. She read the title 'Vamoose', called Vampire in latin. "You didn't tell me you have kids." Alaric asked her.

He already knows what is wrong but he still needs to confirm. He studied the young woman's wounds. There are scratches around her arms and legs. Probably from the dragging by her predators. Jones is a vampire but after years of practicing self-control, he managed to make his senses devoid of any scent. If his guess was true, then this woman's blood wouldn't affect him no matter how addictive her blood is.

It was drawing in her energy—an infinity blade. He ran the blade over her throat, and I screamed. The world went silent. I panted and sobbed. I peered around. Everything was frozen. I could do it. I could rewrite time. I simply had to focus. Fear tried to crawl up my leg, but I knocked it down. I was a vampire and a wolf. I embraced both halves to make a whole. I pulled in a breath and drew energy from the ground, gathering it in my palms. I sent the energy out from my palms and all around. Time backed up, and backed up. It felt so slow and heavy, I didn’t know if I had the strength to save everyone.

She ignored my question. Without warning, she lunged forward, grabbing my hair and twisting my neck to a side before burying her fangs inside my neck. A blood curdling scream escaped through my lungs and she clutched my mouth roughly. She was a vampire, she was so much more stronger than me and I was aware of that. But I had to fight back, I had to do something, anything. With another muffled scream, I tried to lean away from her as she kept sucking my blood, completely draining me. " I hate you and your presence so much that I had to stop myself from ripping your heart out every fucking time you lay your filthy hands on him." Its towering height cast a shadow over me, and its eyes, still the familiar golden hue but now tinged with a darker shade, pierced through my soul.
