There was a tale passed through generations, reaching the 21st Century, about a group of werewolves’ special mutation that brings out dormant abilities from a family’s genetic line. They were said to be marked and blessed by the moon goddess for they were the first of her followers. They were given the title of Legacy Wolves, keeping up their tradition and passing on their special traits through their children.

I was all the way on the opposite side of the library around two corners and I never made a move. “Whoa,” I whispered to myself. Once I gathered myself I looked at the book my nose was pointing to and sat Indian style on the floor and studied the cover. “Odins’s Special Warriors” The story read about wolves that Odin commissioned to go into battle and these wolves were so powerful that when they sustained injuries in battle, they were unaffected. Their strength, speed and agility were unmatched as these wolves were seemingly invincible. The last line caught her attention, ‘These wolves have the power to control all others with their aura, no matter the species. Female Ulfheonars are a rarity

"For example?" "Big and black—usually Alphas. Omegas are small. The rest vary. Sometimes, special wolves appear—white, silver, even lilac blue. But they’re rare. If they exist now, they’re probably hidden. Too valuable. Too dangerous to be known." I studied his face. He looked back, eyes searching. "So... what’s bothering you?" he asked softly. "You feel it?" "I see it," he said, brows furrowed. “Hmm…” I hummed and looked out the window again. I was trying to find words for my current inner predicaments.

“What does this have to do with me? How does it relate to that nightmare?” Dark sister looked deep into Frankie's eyes and frowned. “Because Oliver is a host to two wolves, and he has chosen to feed the escapee. Deek, Oliver's assigned wolf, was good and pure. A truly inspiring Alpha wolf, but he is now weak and dying off. It will be only a matter of time before the escapee takes over completely.

This is a bad idea, my wolf pipes up suddenly. If you have a good idea, I’m open to it, but as of this moment, you’ve been remarkably mum on essentially every topic when I really need some help. Then having rested your ears, it should make it all the easier to listen now, dumbass. I said, this is an epically bad idea. For Fuck’s sake, wolf. Do you or do you not have an alternative to offer? You cannot change what has happened to a wolf by invoking the deity of the witches.

My wolf was upset. While Carson and I had been kissing on the couch, Eckley had been trying to talk to her. She was saying, 'See this is what talking to the Luna did! Eckley can sense me now! He is trying to talk to me. He is whispering to me, 'Love mate. Protect mate.' Ugh! Gross!'

The staff are a mixture of non-ranked wolves and Omega wolves. Omega wolves are wolves who are – for whatever reason – unable to shift. They have heightened senses and can even speak to their wolf spirit, but because they can’t shift a lot of packs mistreat Omegas or treat them as less than everyone else, but we don’t believe in that. We don’t enslave anyone and being staff here is a paid job like any other. It’s offered to anyone who wants it, and we offer them free room and board if they wish.

His eyes bore into mine as he adds, "But I won't." Relief floods through me, immediately followed by a surge of curiosity. "Why not?" I squeak out before I could stop myself, a flush of embarrassment rising to my cheeks at my tone. His expression remains neutral, but a flicker of amusement dances in his eyes. "Because," he begins, his voice low and smooth, "I believe wolves have a right to choose their own path. And I'm not blind, Olivia. I've seen how some treat you because of your dynamic." He pauses, "but to leave the pack permanently?" and he shakes his head. "That's not a decision to take lightly. The world outside these borders is a dangerous place, especially for an omega alone. There

he screamed internally A deep growl rumbled in his chest, low and powerful. The air around him seemed to shift, growing charged with energy. The crowd fell silent as Oliver’s body began to tremble, his muscles rippling under his skin. Suddenly, his form exploded into a massive wolf, larger than anyone had ever seen. His fur was a dark, almost black shade, and his eyes glowed with a golden intensity that commanded attention. Gasps echoed through the arena as the sheer size and presence of his wolf dwarfed even his father’s.

Progress. Viktor stood over a table covered with maps. I walked toward him. "Anything?" "No." "That sounded encouraging." "The first Alpha is a myth." "So was Vaelor." "Fair." He opened another book. "The problem is every wolf culture has a different version." "Tell me." He sighed. "One says the first wolf was created by the moon." "Too normal." "Another says he crawled out of the bones of a dead god." "Less normal." "One claims he was once human."
