At five years old, Jeremy learned that lies shaped reality. It was the first night his father, or the man he would one day call his father, had brought him to Wolf Pack Run, the main Grey Wolf ranch, days after his mother’s death. That evening, around a campfire with the whole of the pack in attendance, James Lennon, then high commander of the Grey Wolf armies, had stood in the flickering orange glow of the flames and announced he had a son that he hadn’t known existed.

I gaped at the ruined building. “And what the fuck happened to this part of London?” Griff whispered. I reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone, searching the Supernatural Media for Trafalgar Square. He leapt forward, and his teeth sank deep into the Dark Wolf's throat. The Dark Wolf let out a gurgling cry, and it fell to the ground, its body still. The pack let out a howl of triumph, and Shadow stood tall, his chest heaving.

The longer Tiffany's wolf was impaled the way she was, the more likely it was that she would die before she could heal herself. My left leg was broken and it hurt to stand on it. It had begun to heal, but it was still painful. I leaned my full weight on Tiffany's wolf, using my wolf strength to push down harder. My claws lengthened as my hand pressed on her skull. Later that evening, I went to the town library and used a public computer to search anything tied to my past contacts. Nothing showed up. Then I saw an article. “Lycan Wolf Spirit Officially Marked Lost” My throat tightened. I clicked the link. The article said Lycan had disappeared from his pack. No one knew where he was. Some believed he lost his purpose after walking away from me. “No,” I whispered. “I did that…” My phone buzzed again. Another message: “You stole more than a wolf. Time to return what you broke.” I felt like screaming.

Then I turned to human and out on my clothes and headed back down. When I reached my place it was around 7am. I went to take a shower to get off whatever smell of that wolf I had! I immediately ran to my laptop to do a little bit of research about my kind. So whatever was attaching people was that wolf. My parents told me we don't kill human beings. They said they made truce with the humans in order to both survive freely in one world.. But that thing was attacking people.. And it had me wondering it if was like me or just an animal.
