I quickly paced down the hall so I could get to the room faster and open this book that felt like a newfound piece of treasure in my hands. As I scanned through the first few pages of the book, it was picture after picture of different drawings and versions of what a nightwolf was portrayed to look like. Some of them were detailed to be howling at the moon, whilst several illustrations had a sort of evil and rabid look to them. She took a bite of the chocolate pastry as she glanced at the shelves. As she walked down the aisle, she noticed small wolves carved into the columns of the bookshelves. I smiled and nodded. "Give me a minute; I'll be right back." She gave me the book and went away. I searched through the colorful book for more pictures until they were through while waiting for her to return. Soon I started on another book in the box. Unfortunately, most of the books were just words, and I could not read them yet. As I was about to give up searching for more books with pictures, I found one. I opened it, and I was surprised to see what it was all about. I couldn't read, but the picture of a white wolf with the same marking as mine allowed me to know that this book was not any ordinary book. It was a book about my pack, The River Pack Members.

Tara’s POV Sharp eyes of a wolf gazed into mine. The statue was massive, or rather the totem was massive. A large pillar containing the carving of a wolf towered over me, with thousands of smaller symbols etched around the sides of the totem in some foreign language. The echo of a howl carried in the breeze. A tiny hand squeezing mine brought me back to reality. I looked down at my daughter. She was wearing an adorable unicorn jacket with the hood that made her hair all puffy afterwards, and my hand squeezed back.

I laughed as I looked at the image of the snow demon. Both visions disappeared and the image of my she-wolf remained in front of me. So she was talking to me? But the moon turned away in the opposite direction, where the image of the snow demon, Marun, appeared. He was also in his true essence as a demonic beast. The white wolf also looked intently into the eyes of my she-wolf. There was snow in his eyes. The moon turned away from him in my direction, thereby making it clear that it was still up to me to choose.

She asked with a confused frown, she was unable to understand how her wolf was connected with her past when there wasn't any sign of her wolf.
