She stood at the edge of the tree line in her wolf form, growling, teeth bared, eyes burning with pure hatred. I tried to scream, but my voice wouldn’t form. I struggled to my feet, panicked.

"Where were you before?" "A human." The handsome man let out a laugh. "That's really awesome. How has the transition been?" "Not as easy as I'd hoped," she said. "I remember when it happened to me. It was pretty rough." "You're a turned wolf?" Clara was surprised. "I went camping for a weekend back in the eighties. An outcast attacked, killed all my friends and left me for dead." "And you're an alpha?" Clara thought about James' comments about turned wolves. She didn't think one could rise in the ranks.

CHAPTER SIXTY-THREE IVY’S POV. The three massive wolves didn’t wear the standard crests of the competition. They were rogue-like, covered in scarred, matted fur, their jaws dripping with a viscous, slurry foam. They looked ready to take us out. "Step back, Nick!" Torin roared, his bones already cracking as he began his transformation. Beside him, Sagw and Kaelen didn't hesitate. The clearing erupted into a symphony of sickening, wet snaps as muscles tore, bones elongated, and human flesh gave way to apex predators.

Ryan transformed into his huge black wolf and starting trotting away from the clearing. Evelyn stood shocked not from the kiss, but seeing the look of tenderness in his face. His face transformed when he smiled, making him more handsome, her heart felt like it stopped for a minute. Before she came back to her senses, he was already gone. Evelyn cursed and transformed back to her white wolf, chased after him.
