As I fell into danger, Jake put up a fight, his limbs ripping. Despite being drenched in blood, he bolted toward me and pounded my attacker on the head. Blood spilled all over the concrete floor, either coming from Jake or the rogue. Anna let out a shriek. It was total mayhem. “Joey!” Anna shouted. Through the madness, a massive black wolf came charging from a distance with incredible speed. I knew that it was Joey, my aloof mate. It never crossed my mind that Joey had shared a mind link with Anna.

"Want to see something? Come here and open this box." I got up quietly and went to that box. The thought of what would be inside that box made my heart restless. I extended one hand and opened it within the next breath. A dead body, covered from head to foot with new white linen, was lying under the box. He slid his hands and removed the linen. Her clothes were like that of a royal queen with bloodstains over them. There was grief on her face. And a broken bangle tied around her hand with sharp edges. One end of the bangle pierced her vein, and the blood fell off. Her skin seemed colder.

The wounds on her body immediately became visible. Whip marks. Bruises. Torn skin. All of them still looked fresh. Robert looked at her in silence. His face remained calm. But deep inside his eyes, something trembled—something he had never allowed anyone to see. Pain. Guilt. Yet the man said nothing. “Lie down.” Once again, Rossa simply obeyed. She walked toward the bed and lay down face down. Her wounded back was clearly exposed before Robert. The man took a bottle of antiseptic from the small table beside the bed.

My bow and quiver dropped from my hands as I gasped, my hands flying to my mouth, "What the hell..." His sightless eyes stared up at the ceiling as a pool of blood spread out beneath him. The candles placed around the body gave the macabre scene an eerie glow. Stepping closer, I saw the his hands were bound with coarse rope, deep grooves cut into his wrists from struggling against his bonds. As I stared at the his still form, rage began to boil up within me, mingling with grief. This innocent life had been cut short for some madman's game. Who would do this? Who would kill such an innocent victim... again?

This is the second time Lydo is using such a lethal fluid on Lucas. This type of toxic, not even alpha Jones could withstand it. It burns any werewolf from within and will drain every strength in them. Lucas manages to raise his head. “I will kill you,” he muttered slowly. Lydo breaks into a scornful laugh repeatedly.
