he whispered, stepping closer. Indeed, I was exhausted. When he wrapped his arms around me, I felt an unmatched sense of solace. "It's alright. Tonight, I won't ask for anything more than a hug," he chuckled slightly, perhaps noticing my slight resistance. "I want to do something. I'm not sure if you'll be up for it, but all I can do is ask," he mumbled, holding me in a comfortable embrace. Honestly, being in his arms felt incredible. It provided a level of comfort that was unparalleled, thanks to his muscular and protective build.

His hair was styled but not too much, just enough. I ran straight into his arms. He caught me instantly, wrapping his arms around my waist like it was instinct. I buried my face in his chest and inhaled.

His face buried in my torso. My arms instinctively go around him, wrapping around his broad shoulders. My fingers thread through his thick, dark hair at the nape of his neck, the soft strands a welcome contrast to the rough fabric of his suit jacket. His breathing has steadied somewhat, but when I try to squirm away, he just draws me closer. I let out a small gasp as he tugs on my wrist, and I lose my balance slightly, collapsing against him. I stay completely still for a moment, worried that I’ve woken him by falling into his arms, but he remains unconscious. Instead of waking, he shifts slightly around me, accommodating me into his embrace. The way he wraps his arms around me is both possessive and soothing. He’s so warm and solid against mine, his body sending sparks everywhere it touches my own.

But wrapped in his arms, with his scent surrounding me and his hands promising safety and pleasure, I couldn’t bring myself to pull away. Not tonight.

He didn’t kiss me. He just wrapped his arms around me. And whispered, “I’m here.”

The next moment, he couldn't help but pull her into his arms, holding her tightly. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders, carefully avoiding the wound on her arm. He held her like that, not minding the dirt on her body. His so-called 'obsession with cleanliness' vanished in that moment.

He wrapped around me as I turned to face away from him, his one arm under my head while the other was around my waist pulling me into him. I felt the darkness take over as I fell asleep in his arms yet again, fully comfortable, fully safe.
