I quickened my pace, my heart pounding in my chest, the fear fueling my steps. Branches snapped and cracked in the distance, causing my breath to catch in my throat. The air grew heavy with an undeniable presence, a chilling reminder of the dangers that lurked within the woods. Each shadow seemed to hold a hidden threat, every sound a potential danger. And then, I saw it—a figure in the distance, illuminated by the pale moonlight. My heart froze as the shape took form, revealing a large, menacing wolf.
