It wouldn't do well to so casually swap lives with others. Besides, one shouldn't assume that a single choice could dictate their entire life. Humans always yearned for the path not taken, but the truth was, whatever path they chose was the right one. There was no one definitive answer.

Marcus: I've tried mom, I can't have anything to do with that spoilt brat. I know what I want in a woman, but she has nothing among all of it. Mom: why are you being so stubborn? You should know I'm not going to push you into the claws of death or anything bad. Marcus I'm your mother and I want the best for you and.... Marcus was almost raising his voice " what you're trying to do is not the best for me" I'm going to spend the rest of my life with this woman and you want it all.to be in pains and sadness.

"But listen to me, Liam's action was separate from your relationship with Hannah. His betrayal is his own. It does not mean you are a failure." He finally spun around, his face slick with sweat and tears, his eyes blazing with a mixture of hatred and pain that was genuinely frightening. "It means everything!" he yelled, throwing his arms out in a gesture of absolute despair. "It means I was wrong to trust! I was weak! Liam always takes what's mine. My parents’ approval, their love, and finally, the only woman who ever saw past the disease—and even she preferred him for one night! I am nothing! A replacement!"

I stood on my feet, threw the papers at him, and yelled, "What the fuck, Jay?" He eyes me like he is genuinely confused which made me more irritated. I scoffed, "Apparently, Money did change people, huh!" His jaw tightened, but his expression never faltered. “You wanted marriage. Here it is. Don’t make this harder." I scrunched my nose, "What do you mean by saying 'you' want us to get married? I thought we were both on the same page since you were the one who proposed."

"I've lived with her for a year. I know who she really is." Joanna's eyes reddened instantly, and tears glistened in her eyes. "I'm sorry, Alex. I didn't mean it that way. Savannah's a good person, and so are you. You two are perfect for each other. "I didn't mean to hit Thomas that day. The brakes failed. I didn't see it coming. Perhaps I forgot to pray, and my luck turned for the worse… I just wanted to bring him home. I never imagined it would end like that… Well, life is unpredictable."

Victor’s answer came without hesitation: “Then they chose the wrong target.”

Her eyes blinked as she looked away in embarrassment. “I think you just hate that you’re not in control,” he added, and that hit deeper. She exhaled, dropping her head. “I just don’t want to make the wrong choice,” she admitted. “ I don't want to give in to something I'm not sure of,” Miles nodded. “ Then don't rush yourself.” She blinked at him. “Everyone’s pulling you,” he continued. “Tyler wants you one way. Your situation with Grayson is pulling you another way. And you?” he tapped lightly against her knee. “You haven’t even stood still long enough to figure out what you want.”

She laughed harder. I thought I could handle her teasing–but a part of me couldn't help but judge my act–guilt slowly crept in behind her words as my husband's face flickered in my mind, the vows I had taken and the years which I had promised to be loyal. My chest ached, and for a second , the weight of what I had done pressed hard against me I was about to tell Vivian she was wrong, that It had been a mistake–or maybe switching the blame unto the Alcohol I had taken last night, and I wanted to swear I was never going to happen again–

Getting closer with every second. Fuck!
