His smiling expression changed drastically as he narrowed his eyes at Dane who was shivering like a drenched rat. " I think I understand what that expression of yours means." Wymond said, his lips tilting into a smirk. " No, Your highness. It isn't what you think, it isn't at all.." Dane rasped shaking his head negatively. " What do you think I'm thinking?" Wymond replied, his lips were holding a gentle smile but his eyes held nothing that resembled gentleness. " I..i.. don't..." Dane stuttered, the fear in him was making it unable for him to form a word.

He pulled back and smiled up at Wren. Wren’s cheeks were dark. Air puffed out in thin clouds and dissipated into the air. His breathing was uneven, but there was a small smile on his face. “Was that all right?” Jackson asked. Wren’s grin grew along with the warmth in his eyes. “Yeah. It was.”

A welcome change from the damp, expected mustiness. His smile was one of the things that first captured my heart. It wasn't about technical perfection, though the way his dimples winked and his teeth flashed white certainly didn't detract. It was the way it transformed his entire face, crinkling the corners of his eyes with genuine warmth. It held a silent promise of laughter and shared secrets, a spark of joy that was utterly contagious. Somehow, that crinkled-eyed grin managed to disarm even the most guarded defenses, leaving me feeling instantly at ease.

A grin I was sure I recognized but couldn't place where from… Suddenly there was a deep growl from just a little across the embankment where Mason was making his way up too. I looked at the warrior with fear, but he grinned again. “Aww, don’t let grumpy guts worry you, he is just jealous that I have more charm in my little toe than he has in his entire body.”

“What? By who?” I can’t suppress the grin that pulls at my lips. “Me.” Try as he might, Troy can’t hide the indignation that permeates his features. His posture stiffens as his eyes narrow in rage, steam practically coming out of his ears. “You can’t be serious,” he sputters. I just nod, my grin widening. I can’t help it- this guy never allows his feathers to be ruffled. It’s so damn satisfying to see him being the one to squirm for once, knowing that for the first time, I’m the one with the upper hand.

Wes leaned lazily against the doorframe, his mouth curling into a slow, smug grin. “Times up.”
