The Way He Looked at Me
Absolute, suffocating silence.
His dark eyes gleam, the corners crinkled with some secret mirth. And then his mouth white teeth flashing, lips stretching into that infuriating grin slashes across his face. I skate toward him, driving my shoulder into his, and he responds with a low, lazy sound from deep in his chest a laugh. Soft. Sweet. Effortless. Bubbling up before he even has a chance to stop it.
It makes me dizzy. Makes me want more. Makes the heat coil in my chest like wildfire.
