After looking down, Grandmaster Glen noticed that it was an odd-looking long sword. It pierced right through his heart. “You… You are…” Grandmaster Glen had a look of disbelief. He seemed to have recognized something. However, due to his damaged heart, he very quickly fell flat to the ground. Although he felt remorseful, there would be no undoing of his mistake. She was obviously young, probably fourteen or fifteen with red hair and a round hazel eyes which peered at me through the glass of the coffee shop. I couldn’t help but wonder who she was and why Blade had decided to bring her along. They both shared words before walking towards the coffee shop. “Emily!” Blade called as he walked inside with his companion right behind him. “I’m right here,” I said waving my hands in the air to draw his attention.

Only a cold, hollow void. I was empty. Xander knelt over me, the violet blade hovering inches from my heart. “Any last words for your husband, Darius? Or should I just take the tongue first?” I looked past Xander, straight at Kael. He wasn't fighting the shadows anymore. He was staring at me, his eyes wide.

It was heavier than I expected, and covered in symbols that seemed to shift and move in the corner of my vision. "What's it for?" "Killing demons," Skye said simply. "Or at least hurting them enough to make them rethink their choices." Despite everything, I almost smiled. Almost. We approached the gym entrance together, and with each step, I could feel the magic inside me responding. Growing stronger. More insistent. Like it recognized we were walking toward danger and wanted to protect me.
