After looking down, Grandmaster Glen noticed that it was an odd-looking long sword. It pierced right through his heart. “You… You are…” Grandmaster Glen had a look of disbelief. He seemed to have recognized something. However, due to his damaged heart, he very quickly fell flat to the ground. Although he felt remorseful, there would be no undoing of his mistake. Alex Rockefeller waved his hand. The sword in Grandmaster Glen’s heart returned to Alex’s hand. This was the Seven Blades of Death Alex had earlier unlocked from the Dragon’s Bane of Thirty-Six!

“Then you take a weapon! Make sure you can defend yourself if needed!” “I’m going to,” revealing from my other pocket the tiny silver blade Declan had given me before leaving. It had been confiscated from Viktor, edged with silver and intricately carved; it was a small and lethal blade. Easily concealed, Declan had made me promise to keep it on me. Then I painstakingly twisted one small black key with six notches out of the metal loop.

"That's intriguing. I might just take you up on that offer sometime." Xaire, on the other hand, leaned forward, her interest piqued. "You have blades, too? I lost my favorite set during my last mission. I've been meaning to get a new one." Khein nodded, his gaze meeting Xaire's. "Absolutely. I have a collection of high-quality blades. I can show you some designs, and if there's a specific style you're looking for, I can get it customized for you." Xaire's eyes sparkled with anticipation. "You can customize them?"

Blade came out with his usual all black clothing—a big black sweatshirt, a black baggy jean, black glasses, black face cap, black sneakers— and a revolver carefully tucked by his side. To my shock, the passenger door opened and a girl came out. She was obviously young, probably fourteen or fifteen with red hair and a round hazel eyes which peered at me through the glass of the coffee shop. I couldn’t help but wonder who she was and why Blade had decided to bring her along. They both shared words before walking towards the coffee shop. “Emily!” Blade called as he walked inside with his companion right behind him. “I’m right here,” I said waving my hands in the air to draw his attention.

Kael snarled, his muscles bulging as he fought the restraints, the wood of the beam groaning under the pressure. “I’m going to make you watch,” Xander said, turning back toward me. He reached into the air and pulled out a long, thin blade of violet glass. “I’m going to bleed your little Witch dry while you howl.” I tried to reach for the fire, but there was nothing. Only a cold, hollow void. I was empty. Xander knelt over me, the violet blade hovering inches from my heart. “Any last words for your husband, Darius? Or should I just take the tongue first?” I looked past Xander, straight at Kael. He wasn't fighting the shadows anymore. He was staring at me, his eyes wide.

It was heavier than I expected, and covered in symbols that seemed to shift and move in the corner of my vision. "What's it for?" "Killing demons," Skye said simply. "Or at least hurting them enough to make them rethink their choices." Despite everything, I almost smiled. Almost. We approached the gym entrance together, and with each step, I could feel the magic inside me responding. Growing stronger. More insistent. Like it recognized we were walking toward danger and wanted to protect me.

And the Dream-Root should be in a cryo-tube next to it." Ethan ran down the aisle. He found them. The blade was jagged, made of metal that seemed to absorb the light. The Dream-Root was a gnarly tuber floating in blue liquid. He grabbed them, shoving them into his tactical pouch.
