WITCHES: THE RISING PLOT The era of witches is gone forgotten by all but a few who has lived through it. However, a teenage girl discovers her powers in an unexpected manner. CHAPTER 1 PILOT Clara’s POV:

It's slavering jaws hung open and its razor-sharp teeth were bared, as it advanced towards her with its blood-red eyes, ablaze with undisguised hunger. It occurred to Merlin that werewolves didn't normally have red eyes, something was wrong with these werewolves and the more she thought about it, the more convinced she became. The werewolves were not rogues, they were under a powerful spell and instinctively, she knew that only another witch could cast such a spell. The only witch that had been capable of such a feat, was Aunt May, but Merlin knew that she was dead, which meant that there was another and for some reason, this thought filled her with a feeling of growing disquiet.

All Liam wanted was for this meeting to end quickly so he could go back to Alina. Felix studied Liam carefully before speaking. “Are you not bothered?” Felix asked, taking a few slow steps forward. Liam remained silent, his expression unreadable as he waited for Felix to continue. Xavier was the one who spoke next. “After you left the hut, Felix used his magic to investigate the place,” Xavier said, crossing his arms as he leaned slightly against the table. “That hut belonged to one of the greatest witches known in the realm. The Blood Lord himself had chased her out of Nightspire City many years ago, forcing her to hide deep in the forest. That witch was extremely powerful.”

I concluded within my mind and in a few minutes I could smell her closer, I had covered most of the distance. There were other scents, stronger than hers, not far from her. Their scent was different from humans, forcing my eyebrows to draw closer to each other. I hastened my footsteps and closed the gap between us, but kept my distance away from her and the group of people walking behind her. I narrowed my gaze on the two guys walking behind her, and I noticed something weird, they had a mark at the back of their neck, was that a bat? and the vibe they were giving off was strange, they weren't one of us.

I feel out of place and out of my element. I find him talking to Emlyn who races back inside and Emerson, who rushes to leave. When he tells me they think Alpha Wyatt is working with the witches, I know it can’t be Maeve. She’s a sweet woman. Quinn and I are confident that she’s Xander’s mate and we know that she was only protecting her younger siblings when she cast that spell on Rich.

“If she were to come face to face with the witch who’s spell she’s under, the witch could make her harm herself or you." Mayor Marx's double chin bobbed in horror. "You must leave her here with me.” “No!” I shrieked. “See…” Mathis gestured to me. “The witch wants you to bring her.” “I understand.” Mayor Marx nodded solemnly. Shaking loose of my grip on his sleeve. “Don’t go. Stay! Leave Udora alone!” I pleaded as I caught his cloak. “Don’t leave me here!” Mathis rounded me. Keeping a hand on my arm as he moved between the Mayor and I. He caught my wrist in one hand and Marx's cloak in the other, to rip it free of my grip.

Mum wasn't the kind to go back on her words. If I was going to get rid of the bracelet, someone else had to help. “Well, if one person couldn't help me get it off, what about asking for the help of other witches, surely if they are in numbers they could pull it off.” “I strongly doubt that, witches have a code and many rules, no sorcerer will agree to cast such a spell, even if we could find one strong enough.” Another dead end, I wondered.

Thomas swallows hard, his eyes glued to me but his head turned on the side, letting me know he wants no trouble. "Yes, Alpha". I instantly mindlink the same command to the rest of the pack. My head is spinning and all i want to do is scream my lungs out while killing everyone on sight. A witch. And apparently not like the witches we have in the town, she must be powerful enough for me to sense her like that. I knew something was strange about her. I thought having a human mate would be a degradation, but i would take that a thousand times over having a witch as one. I growl loudly as a severe pain in my chest appears all of a sudden. "Are you out of your mind?" Lukas asks her, "you want us to use Sarah as bait? You've got to be joking." "So what do you want us to use as bait? The bait has to be something the hunted wants. If we want to catch an animal, we have to give it what it wants. She wants Sarah, we give her Sarah. We'll have witches and," she says with emphasis when Lukas wants to interrupt, "werewolves to protect her. I'd go a million times if I could, but my going would be useless," Katrina returns.

No wonder he's been quiet this week, it was because he was plotting which is why he doesn't want me to notice him, and as for how he got a witch to help him create the wendigo and also gave him that powder, it's a simple thing to crack. He went to seek help from Elisa, the cold witch, A.K.A. the lone witch.
