Rows of towering bookshelves stretched into the gloom, filled with books bound in leather that looked suspiciously like skin. "Where do we start?" I whispered, overwhelmed. " Xen gasped as the word rolled effortlessly out of his tongue. He turned the pages as he kept chanting her name. The single name 'Mira' was scribbled all over and Xen kept calling her as tears dripped from his eyes seamlessly.

Xandar opened his eyes and tried not to make a sound as he looked up at Lucianne, who was holding her book in one hand. She was already halfway through it. He peeked at the cover, and realized that it was a book on the neuroscience behind wolf-behavior.
