Isabelle’s POV Victory doesn’t come with fireworks. Not for people like me. It comes with silence. The kind that hangs in the room like dust, untouched, undisturbed, waiting for you to finally exhale after holding your breath for too long. I was alone in my penthouse when the news hit every major network. “Walter Blackwood and Kaia Whitmore arrested in connection to multiple federal charges…” The footage played on a loop—Walter in his signature suit, face like stone, refusing to look at the cameras. Kaia, flanked by lawyers, barked at someone off-screen. Her glasses couldn’t hide the rage.

This time, neither Marshall nor Harrison used their powers. They fought like normal humans; two guys who wanted a lady and only the winner could have her. They kicked and punched each other until their skin broke and they began to bleed. Their wounds did not stay for long because it closes up as soon as it opens. Willow stood at the side like a spectator, including Abigail who only reacted when Adele tried to stop Marshall. Willow watched the two men fought because of her and she could not understand that feeling of happiness that was bubbling inside of her. Her wolf was also happy and prancing about with her head held high.

Chloe did her very best to lighten the atmosphere. “Why are we doing the most unnecessary things now?” Tasha grumbled. “I'm Chloe Mayfield and I'm twenty years old . I enjoy making new friends, nice to meet you both,” she beamed as she introduced herself. “I'm Joanne and I'm twenty-three years old,” I went along with it. I chose not to mention my surname so I wouldn't be recognized. I didn't want people knowing my true identity. “And I'm Amara and I'm also twenty-three. I forgot to mention that I and Joanne are best friends,” she added as if marking her territory.

“Evelyn.” Liam’s voice cut across mine, low but commanding, heavy with the authority I couldn’t ignore. His hand pressed more firmly against my arm, pinning me to the moment, grounding me before I shattered completely. His eyes locked on mine—steady, unyielding, a wall of resolve. “We give them what they need, so they can start the chase. Don’t waste your strength fighting the wrong battle.” The officer waited, his pen poised above the page, as though my answer was the thread holding this fragile moment together.

"Uh, oh… sorry about that. I didn't realize that you had a mate. And it’s Nix, that’s unbelievable. Sorry and congratulations to both of you." I accepted his apology. "No worries. No harm done." The girl shook her head at his denseness. "I'm Chloe, and this is Greg and Soren." Greg shook my hand. "If you didn't pick it up, Chloe is my mate." I said, "Yes, I noticed." I tilted my head as I examined Soren. "And your mate is Cassie from the library, right? I met her earlier today, she seems nice." Soren shook his head. "No, I haven't met my mate yet."

"Yes" He swoops me off my feet grinning, twirling me around while I giggled. He places me back on my feet. "Good. Now let's go make babies" "What?" I laugh. THE END!!! It appeared as if they switched over to a mindlink, and I turned my eyes to the ceiling so I only had to hear her frantic movements. I had no idea what was going on, and no one was filling me in. I felt hands on my wrists, and the chains were undone. “Go,” Chandler instructed me. “Go find your mate, and don’t let anything stop you.”

Richard POV Horror rips a shout from my mouth as Alex trains a gun on Arabel, who is lying flat on the floor in a white wedding dress. Don't shoot! I want to scream as the men move fully into the hall, leaving the other couples in pandemonium. I can't believe Alex would kidnap Arabel and bring her all the way from New York just to force her to get married. Because her phone was in the car, we couldn't track her. I kept throwing curses at Leo, asking him to find a solution before it was too late.

We exchange another glance, then both of us lunge toward our incoming foes. Serena and I fight side by side until we’ve fought our way through the enemies in our path. We work in tandem to take them down with ease, and only then do I look back to see that Fallon and Chase are gone and Gray is back in the thick of things, tearing through a clump of shadow pack wolves with the assistance of Theo. It’s obvious that their numbers are thinning, but someone is still notably absent- their leader. Through the entirety of the battle thus far, there’s been no sign of Xavier.
