I scream my fury, thrashing harder, as I sink up to my neck.
“Stop fighting, Elio. Submit to me, my mate,” Keya says, sliding off my back and walking to where I can see her. Her voice remains calm, as if she didn’t just nearly get burned alive. I can smell her singed flesh, see the blisters as her body comes into view.
