Teresa shook her head vigorously with a terrified look in her eyes and screamed, "Amaria No!!" As it charged towards Amaria, the Chimera jumped down from above and shrieked loudly.

~Charlotte Jasmine and I sat on her worn yet cozy couch, the smell of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the faint lavender scent of her candles. The TV played Adam’s press conference on loop, his voice echoing in the room. “And finally,” Adam said, his tone heavy with emotion, “to Charlotte. I owe you the biggest apology of all. I was blind to the truth, and in doing so, I hurt the one person who has always been my light.” My heart fluttered, and my chest tightened as I watched him look directly at the camera, his gaze filled with sincerity.

Today, they had come together to catch up and share their latest adventures. Alex took a sip of their coffee, savoring the rich flavor before breaking the comfortable silence. "So, Charlotte, tell me about your latest project. I've heard whispers of something big happening." Charlotte's eyes sparkled with excitement as she leaned forward. "Oh, Alex, you won't believe it! I've been working on this immersive theater production. It's called 'Into the Unknown.' We're transforming an entire warehouse into a mystical world, where the audience becomes part of the story. It's been a wild ride, but I can't wait to see it all come to life."

She frowned, eyeing me. " So, Charlotte, we heard you have important information about our favorite bachelor in the city," Tay said, grinning like a Cheshire Cat. I knew he had a massive crush on Ellis, as he had mentioned it several times. Tami drummed on their desk a few times before they said at once, " Ellis Carter!" I smirked and nodded. " I'm his mate," I told them, and they scoffed, "Yeah, us too," they chuckled. " I'm his mate," I said seriously. They were both surprised, mind-linking as they observed me.

Holding her with one arm and trying to help me with the other, I assure him I’m alright and take the stairs slowly one at a time. It’s frustrating for me to need to take my time; however, it’s a small set back. I have exercises I can do to continue strengthening the leg. I just need to take the time and let myself heal. This made Jasmine even more in awe at Charlie’s ability. At that moment, Yahiko lamented in his heart, ‘This Jasmine—her looks, body, and temperament are quite similar to my daughter. I sat down quietly, keeping my head low, praying that everyone would go back to their food and forget I existed. The dining room was filled with a few people, Damien, Aiden, Olivia, and two other men I didn’t recognize. The long table was lined with various dishes, the kind you’d only see during a feast. But I had no appetite. Just the sight of the food made my stomach turn. I silently hoped everyone would remain quiet, just like they were now. If no one said a word, maybe I could survive this breakfast without falling apart. But Damien ruined that hope. “Welcome to the family, Charlotte,” he said, his voice calm but firm. “I hope you slept well?”

“I-I’m so sorry for speaking so harshly to you…” She, however, was quick to stop me and pulled me back up. “Please, you don’t need to do that,” she urged with wide eyes. “I didn’t agree to help you and Xaden for any special treatment in return.” I was confused. “Then why…?” Charlotte gave me a friendly smile, leading me into her gigantic, clean room decorated in white, gold, and pink furniture more lavish and elegant than anything in Sarah’s room. “He might come across as intimidating to some, but he’s fiercely loyal and protective of the ones he loves,” she said. “He’s a kind-hearted brother and an even better man.”

Charlotte was the one behind the incident that night. Charlotte was Damon's girlfriend a few years ago. She naturally did not know about these things, but Miss Joanna was very careful. She had also investigated Charlotte's background. Five years ago, Charlotte made her debut as a model. Three years ago, Damon took a fancy to her and they dated for about a month. Charlotte became popular because of Damon. But a year ago, because Charlotte was involved in something bad, the company dropped her.
