Emma's POV Damian stood across from me, his gaze sharp and calculating, as if he could read every thought running through my mind. His men flanked him, their expressions impassive, but I could feel the weight of their presence. This wasn’t just a confrontation anymore. It was a battle—a battle for control, for power, for my future. “You’ve been quiet, Emma,” Damian said, his voice smooth, almost too calm. “What’s on your mind?” I crossed my arms over my chest, refusing to let him see the unease creeping under my skin. “I’m thinking about how this ends, Damian. And it’s not going to end the way you want it to.”

"What are you talking about, Damian?" Ivy stammered, her voice trembling with a mix of fear and denial. She desperately tried to hide her shaking hands, knowing that Damian had caught on to her vulnerability. A smile played on Damian's lips as he observed Ivy's visible unease. "You're shaking, Ivy," he pointed out, relishing in the power he now held over her. The Queen turned to the King, her mouth opening to argue, but his raised hand silenced her. Damien’s shadow fell over me as he crouched slightly, his voice low enough for only me to hear. “Don’t look, little flame,” he murmured, the words gentle despite the tension in his tone. “You don’t need to see this.” The trapdoors fell with a sickening thud. My father, my mother, my brother—gone. A scream tore from my throat, raw and uncontrollable. I collapsed to the ground, my legs giving out beneath me. I didn’t need to see it; the sound alone was enough to shatter what was left of my heart.

Damien felt the same way. This was a strange feeling for him. He'd had other loves in his life before her, but none of them even came close to what she meant to him. They were hollow shells of humanity, a small flicker of flame compared to the raging fire that was Elena. He felt that she deserved to know what he was feeling, that no matter how his voice sounded in her ears, she needed to hear his true voice. He knew she was ready for it this time. Damian sat on the sofa with his breathing becoming more regular, though his face still looked dark. The wine in his glass was placed unceremoniously on the table, no longer attracting his attention. Yara, who was still sitting next to him, watched carefully. This is a chance to know more, she thought. If she could understand Damian's wounds, maybe she could find a way to conquer the man. "Damian," Yara called slowly, making sure her voice didn't provoke any more emotions. "I want to know something. About... Mrs. Dania. What exactly happened to her?"

Damien asked. "What ?" Damien's hand encircled her waist and he shifted her so that she was now sitting on his member, he was really hard and the sensation heated her up. "Do you feel that Raven?"
