The yellow was overwhelming, making my eyes water. Had she lost her mind? This woman drove up the fucking wall. Fuck! As I scanned the room, my eyes landed on a figure lying on the floor in the corner. Heaven was sprawled out, wearing devilishly short shorts that left little to the imagination. Her long, toned legs kicked lazily in the air as she read from a book, her mouth stuffed with Skittles. The candy's bright colors seemed to match the yellow of the room, creating a jarring, surreal effect.

The cover filled me with a creeping, ice-cold dread. There he was, on the cover. Smiling and looking directly at me, it seemed. The man in yellow. Above that, the title burned itself into my brain: The King Wears Yellow. “And so can you,” I rasped. I placed a weak hand on my forehead and held it there. Was I feverish? Sick, hallucinating? I hadn’t bought that book . . . had I? I’d only glanced through it. Left it at The General Store, because it was just a crock of stupid shit. Hadn’t I only flipped through Bobby’s copy on the way home?

She hums softly, her lips pressing into a straight line, the corners of her mouth twitching slightly. "Hmm," she says, taking her time. "That's a tough question, but I'll say. . .you're my yellow." Yellow. . . I can’t help but smile at that. “Yellow?” I repeat, leaning a little closer. "Why?" She shifts, sitting up slightly, her fingers still locked with mine, but now her gaze is thoughtful. “Yellow,” she says slowly, as if the words need to be wrapped in the right kind of care. “It’s warm, and bright. Like sunshine, but not too hot. It’s the color of things that make you feel. . .light. Like you’re safe and everything’s okay.”

Then, someone whom like them, saved me, and even helped me with my bags, he seemed kind, Aaron, his name was oddly familiar, like I have seen him or heard his name somewhere, I was surprise with myself, that I let him accompany me without hesitation. I looked at the book I was reading, I accidentally saw this in an antique shop, and decide to bought it, it’s a bit torn off, but I can still read the pages, so I bought it, it’s kind uh, interesting. [MADDOX] It’s odd how often I have driven by her house, but never really cared to turn my head and look. But now that I stand in front of it, I know why she fought so hard to take it back. The house is nothing out of a fairy tale. It’s decently constructed, has only one floor and is yellow. Dwight hurriedly joined and saw what made Ellaine occupied. Just like Ellaine, Dwight couldn't believe what she just saw. She repeatedly switches her gaze between me and the camera in front of them. "So, it's you, Zyie?" Ellaine asked in a very serious manner. I nervously forced a smile "I'm sorry." "You're the author of Drizzles of Yellow?" Dwight followed. Like Ellaine, I could see how surprised Dwight was. Dwight is an avid reader of Drizzles of Yellow. Everytime we talk, there are no times that she won't bring up that website. She told me how she admired the author.

His beautiful brown hair was cut just above his neck, tousled slightly by the breeze. A black tattoo curled along his right hand, something I’d never cared to study until now. His lips, soft, full, almost too pink, were the kind of kissable you only read about in books. He looked… feminine in a strange, almost ethereal way, but there was nothing fragile about him. Somehow, that made him even more striking. And his eyes—gods, his eyes. The brightest shade of yellow I’d ever seen. Like sunlight trapped in amber. Had he always looked like this? Or was I just now seeing clearly?

Harold was out and I was all alone inside the house. I walked upto the book shelf and checked the books he had in his book shelf. Most of them were of business and some were of Sherlocks books, don't wanna read detective books. There was no romantic books here. In such a big book shelf, there are only detective and business management books. I again thoroughly went through the books and found a yellow color old book, which was neither detectives nor business books. I pulled it out and read the title of the book. PARENTHOOD.

Artemisia felt totally uncomfortable picking up that book, it was as if everything that had happened badly to her and that she had forgotten would come back with force and brutality because of that book. But she still left him on top of the first book. Finally, the young woman made it to the last shelf that was supposed to snoop on for books. And again, Helga's voice came. And then there were her eyes. I’d noticed it first during breakfast today when I stared at her. A molten yellow glow—not gold, not the typical wolf sheen—but something richer, deeper, as though magma ran beneath her skin and looked out at the world through her gaze. And now, in the dull glow of the classroom lights, I saw it again. A flicker. Her lashes lowered and raised, and there it was, unmistakable: liquid yellow, molten and alive. I froze. I’d heard of that color before.
