Above that, the title burned itself into my brain: The King Wears Yellow. “And so can you,” I rasped. I placed a weak hand on my forehead and held it there. Was I feverish? Sick, hallucinating? I hadn’t bought that book . . . had I? I’d only glanced through it. Left it at The General Store, because it was just a crock of stupid shit. Hadn’t I only flipped through Bobby’s copy on the way home?

It was actually one of the biggest books there. It had a yellow cover and I pulled it out, and glanced at it, my eyes glinting at the title, ‘Werewolf And Its Powers’. Flipping through it, the first pages had no significance so I kept on turning pages, hoping to dig out what I wanted. And eventually I paused, stopping to read what it was written.
