“Where’s that son of a bitch? Where’s Brandon and Hannah” Jeff yelled and Daniel stared at him wondering who he was. “Jeff…..” Arianna called with a surprised look on her face. “What are you doing here?” She asked and Jeff scoffed. “I’m a Colby, Of course, I can enter here anytime,” he said and Arianna hummed. “You should leave Jeff. We don’t want trouble…” Arianna said and Jeff scoffed. “I’m not leaving until Brandon and Hannah give me the paper to my site…”

The former me would have run screaming at the mere thought of Charlotte, or the thought of someone who had been sent by her. “No, but I’ve seen you on TV several times in the past years. Don’t worry, I’m not a crazy person or a stalker or anything like that. I was just surprised to see you in person, although you look a little different. Also, you don’t have to worry about me telling anyone about who you are or running to the media to tell them about you. The dark circles beneath his eyes were daunting. He was like a trapped beast, pacing the office back and forth, exuding a cold yet dangerous air. His phone was placed face down on the table. He almost flung it out of the window twice. When he saw the state his usually level-headed best friend was in, Cameron Duffal—Ethan's Beta—could no longer hold in his laughter.

In his place was someone else—someone shaped by the Montellis, by Rico, by every dirty deal and decision that had led me to this point. His phone buzzed again, and my jaw clenched. I knew what needed to be done. "Why the hell do you think it put you to sleep?" I don't know if he's being honest, or if he's acting. Right now, I don't know if I can figure it out. Jeff has never been a bad guy. He's shy and sweet, and I trusted him. I wanted to date him... until Luke came into the picture.

Chapter 19 "What is it dad?" Rael asked, behaving like a spoiled child. "Come have a sit, daddy has a favour to ask of you." Jeffrey said. "Okay, then be quick, I need to finish applying my make up." After Janet and Rael sat down, Jeffrey cleared his throat, unsure of where to begin. "It's like this, I have just heard some good news while I was relaxing outside, I think it might be able to get us out of this sticky situation we are in." Jeffrey stated.

He showed up without asking for anything in return, and somehow that made me feel even more indebted. Too indebted. I hated that feeling. All I wanted now was to leave. To breathe real air. Short? Layers?” I blinked, dragged back to the room. He turned the screen toward me, eyes bright, hopeful. Like this was a fresh start.

Jeff immediately became perplexed. What was going on? Why would Rhoda ask him who he was? He looked at the doctor, then at Kelly before returning his eyes back on hers. "Rhoda… Uhm… Looks at me, babe," he said and sat before her on the bed. "I am your husband. I am Jeff. And that's my sister, Kelly," Jeff explained in the best way he could. Meredith and her husband entered the room. "Mum? Dad?" Rhoda said as she saw her parents.
