The shockwave took the guard’s legs out from under her; she went sprawling backward, weapon skittering away. Elowen’s power flared with the motion—hot, eager. She grabbed it and *held,* forcing it to stay in the shape she’d given it instead of blooming into the wild dome it wanted.

There’s blood on its face, shining from the light of the energy ball above us. I telekinetically throw it back, but he doesn’t go flying. He stumbles and recovers fast. “Shit.” I don’t have any weapons or vanquishing potions. I’m going to have to blow this fucker up, and that means letting him get close. I dart away, moving under the bright energy ball. I steal a quick glance up and raise my hand, powering the ball until it’s so bright it’s almost blinding.

I grab another rock. Throw it in the opposite direction. Another crash. More guards turn. “What was that?” “Spread out!” Confusion ripples through the clearing.

I needed a broken branch or a stone to throw and I needed to find it quickly. As the guards moved closer, I spotted a pile of rock not too far from me. Taking a deep breath, I inched towards the pile and picked a single pebble from it all the while praying that the rustling leaves would not give my position away. With careful precision, I threw the pebble in the opposite direction. It flew into the air and hit a tree with a soft thud. The sound wasn't as loud as I wanted it to be but luckily, it was loud enough to get the attention of the guards. "I heard something come from over there," one of them shouted as I pointed in the direction that I had thrown the pebble at.

All eyes on the flickering, magical dome. Bahm bears his claws out quickly and I even hear a growl from him. All the guards take a fighting stance as they realize this too, not sure whom they should look at. The ball or Bahm! Bahm's attention is only on the dark mystical and glowing ball. The barrier of the ball comes down and Bahm snarls, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!!"

“Come on, here, catch!” Yohan throws the small pouch over to one of the guards. The guard immediately drops his spear and catches the pouch before it can land unceremoniously on the ground. He opens it quickly, and gasps when he saw what was inside. I look up at Yohan, his smirk wide, just how much was in that pouch? And he says we have enough for an inn and food?

Hadirt gritted his teeth. The energy aura on his body surged out and turned into a black defensive shield. Following that, he channeled all the energy in his body into the defensive shield as it spread out to cover a four-hundred-meter radius around him, making every rock on the ground quake in its wake. "You're not getting up anytime soon, I promise you that," I said, grabbing him by the collar and throwing him to the ground, pinning his arms next to his body. I had given him my guard, which was a move that let me kick without letting him hit me back but also meant I couldn't use my full strength. However, even with my guard down, I still managed to throw him back with enough force to knock the wind out of him.

I raise my hand in their direction throwing a burst of bright purple energy at them, sending them all hurtling back crashing into walls and bars and falling to the ground in unconsciousness.
